Since a lot of stuff was already taken, I'm gonna have to say Half-Life 2: Episode 2, on hard, while trying to get "Little Rocket Man" achievement.

Sure, it was pretty annoying when you had to carry that little gnome around, but keeping it with you when your driving was a pain in the arse. Don't even get me started about the Hunter-Chopper chase.... *shudders*

I did get it though, so... yay!

I still enjoyed it though.

I Wanna Be The Guy fucking terrified me, it is literally designed to kill you as often as possible. It's brilliant.

Other than that, Ninja Gaiden, Mega Man 2, Castlevania, Alex Kidd in Miricale World. All great games though.
