Your friend sounds like a really big douchebag.wewontdie11 said:I was making an absolutely nightmarish trip down to Colchester from Sunderland in the very North East of England (google map it, it's a pretty long way) and my mate's sat-nav was taking us the long way (which incidentally would end up taking us about 8 hours) to see one of my favourite bands, cKy.
About 5 hours into the journey, we were all feeling a bit down and fractious so we stopped at a McDonalds to get some spirit lifting cheap food. We came through the drive through, made our order and were told to park in one of the spaces to wait for our food. 20 minutes passed. 3 other cars parked next to us and drove away before one woman came out with a brown bag towards our car, much to our jubilation.
My friend turned on the engine as we began to dish out the food, only to realise we had been given completely the wrong meals. Nothing was right at all. At this point my mate Dave totally flipped his shit, climbed out of the car, walked into the restaurant and proceeded to throw the bag at the woman behind the counter.
At first he simply informed her that they gave us the wrong order, to which she persisted in saying we had been given what we ordered, at which point he screamed "I DIDN'T ORDER A FUCKING FILET O FISH!" and tossed the receipt at her. Upon reading it the woman began hurriedly apologising and offered us some free McFlurries, which we were forced to decline because we were in a rush.
We ended up getting our food which was just the thing to lift our spirits and scared the hell out of some employees. Greatest McDonalds ever.
The point is to discuss expiriences with fast food shortcomings. Don't be a dick.danpascooch said:Yes, pretty much everyone has been
Everybody knows that places like Mcdonalds and Burger King get orders wrong alot, whats the point of this thread anyway?

Believe me if you'd been driving the long way through the arse end of nowhere in a cramped car for 5 hours you'd have understood his reaction.speidel28 said:Your friend sounds like a really big douchebag.
you do realize you are posting this in a forum where 2 of the majour countries straddle 5 time zones right? a 5-8 drive isn't muchwewontdie11 said:I was making an absolutely nightmarish trip down to Colchester from Sunderland in the very North East of England (google map it, it's a pretty long way) and my mate's sat-nav was taking us the long way (which incidentally would end up taking us about 8 hours) to see one of my favourite bands, cKy.
That is not a good reason, and you know it!wewontdie11 said:Believe me if you'd been driving the long way through the arse end of nowhere in a cramped car for 5 hours you'd have understood his reaction.speidel28 said:Your friend sounds like a really big douchebag.
That isn't how I personally would have reacted but I know my mate has a relatively short fuse sometimes. Some people just do. He's normally a pretty cool guy and actually knowing him, yes I can say that I understand his reaction given the circumstances.speidel28 said:That is not a good reason, and you know it!
Huh? Fair enough you live in a bigger country than me but travelling over 500 miles in a day (that's including the return trip) is still a lot. Especially when on the way there you're on 40mph roads.cleverlymadeup said:you do realize you are posting this in a forum where 2 of the majour countries straddle 5 time zones right? a 5-8 drive isn't muchwewontdie11 said:I was making an absolutely nightmarish trip down to Colchester from Sunderland in the very North East of England (google map it, it's a pretty long way) and my mate's sat-nav was taking us the long way (which incidentally would end up taking us about 8 hours) to see one of my favourite bands, cKy.
Hey, I would have reacted that way if someone in a restaurant was that much of a pissant. Again, I've worked in fast food myself, and the biggest thing to them is supposed to be 'the customer is always right' And, even before I worked in food, I always thought that somebody in a restaurant treating customers like crap is bull. I would have got mad to if some douche had the gall to basically call me stupid when they made the mistake. Guy's friend was right.speidel28 said:That is not a good reason, and you know it!wewontdie11 said:Believe me if you'd been driving the long way through the arse end of nowhere in a cramped car for 5 hours you'd have understood his reaction.speidel28 said:Your friend sounds like a really big douchebag.
She never called him stupid.Emperor Inferno said:Hey, I would have reacted that way if someone in a restaurant was that much of a pissant. Excuse me, what?speidel28 said:She never called him stupid.
Ok, I get that he has a short temper and you guys were sore and bitter from a very long drive, but he should have calmly said we didnt get our food. She probably kept saying she got it right because your friend threw the bag at her.
There really shouldnt be any reason to act like that AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry you were right. I seemed to have overseen some details.Emperor Inferno said:Excuse me, what?speidel28 said:She never called him stupid.

1) By telling him he didn't order what he knew he ordered, yes, she did call him stupid.
2) He did tell her calmly at first, when she proceeded to call him stupid (see point no. 1)
3) She repeated that she got it right BEFORE he threw the bag, NOT the other way around.
4) Maybe he did overreact, but to get angry about it, at the very least, is absolutely and completely justified.
Well, maybe not. I don't really know if I would have reacted any better, though, so I can't judge.speidel28 said:Sorry you were right. I seemed to have overseen some details.
He still shouldnt have thrown the bag.
