I hate to sound like a purist but to be a proper pip-boy it needs the radio-dial glove attachment that is ever present

So, there's an app which turns your iphone into a pipboy - Man, I gotta search for that. Check my radiation level.

And it still has that bad design where all the knobs to control it are on the left side of it. They need to be on the right side because if they are on the left, your forearm is going to be blocking the screen while you use the knobs.

I am still wondering why we don't have/use arm-computers... i mean this is 2011. The FUTURE with crystal-towers and flying cars everywhere.

Also: when will capes get back "in vogue"?

But no, all we got are tinytinytiny cell phones and shit.

Well i will be off with my pretend rocket-boots then. See ya *g*

Now all we need is an iPhone OS skin that allows access to all one's apps via the Pip-Boy menu. Then it will be time to make sure your water chip is functioning properly.

"his lone prototype has sold out'

One a semi serious note, how come no app designers have cottened onto the idea of making a Pip-boy interface screen for the iphone anyways?

Yeah I know,I know, copyright. But still it WOULD sell a shit load on itunes.

Well, I'm heading to Cleveland soon, so I might actually need some wasteland survival materials.
If you're heading to East Cleveland, you might want to bring about 30 stimpacks, a few stealth boys, full power armor, a laser RCW and all the electron charge packs you can find/buy.

I see somebody doesn't play in hardcore mode. WUSS.

And yet it occurs to me that a real-life pip-boy MUST be made in hardcore mode because one always has the need to eat sleep and drink. Our friend has missed an important detail.

This is awesome enough to make me want to get an iPhone. And this is coming from someone who hates Apple.

i would probably pay for this but the creator would probably run into copyright problems along the way.

I think that's the fault of the iPhone app maker, not the pip-boy builder.

Too bad they don't make the good models, like the Pipboy 2000.

then again they never released a full PIPboy 2000 art (only the 3000,s/lil,PIP,s art from the Van Buren tech demo)
OT
it looks really good for a paper scrap build (considering he could have modified the PIPboy 3000 clock)
