Yes, I quoted from Yahtzee. No, I'm not sorry.

So for those of you who have seen his MGS4 review, you can probably guess the topic.

What plots made you scratch your head and say 'huh?'

From any medium.

Not the deliberate mindscrews, or the deeply symbolic, just the ones that when you finished, you went 'I don't think any of that made any sense.'

Top of my list would probably be (apart from MGS2):

Movie: Push
No explanation as to how the powers worked, why they were trying to enhance the supers when they were already pretty damn powerful, where the powers came from, why despite apparently being hunted down their were so damn many of them just milling around everyday.

So many logic fails, wallbangers and facepalms that despite the spectacle I couldn't shake the niggling feeling that none of it made any damn sense.

Elonor Rigbey by the Beatles, kinda wierd when you think about it
MGS2 wasn't to bad up till the whole patriot/ mind fuck part.
First time I watched the matrix as a kid the plot was like quantum physics to my stupid little mind.

The last 1/4 of Indigo Prophecy. I mean really? Mayan hobos and Illuminati are typically a bad mix.

Well Halo ODST confused me simply because the plot of the game seemed so irrelevant and useless once it was done.

Ikki Tousen.

I was actually scatching my head due to my wonder where the fuck the plot actually was!

The end of the last Harry Potter makes me think where did J.K Rowling pull that out of.

I'm gonna have to go out on a limb and say just about all the Final Fantasies to date. Trying to explain any of them to someone uninformed is like pulling teeth. And there's always something at the end that makes EVERYONE go "wate, wat?"

For example: And it turns out it was a floating, glowing beetle vulnerable to Zombie that you one-shot.

or: And then they went back in time and defeated the guy who became rueful in the future that he was defeated in the past so he goes back there ultra powerful.

See what I mean?

Sonic Adventure 2. Seriously, look up why Sonic was captured by the army. You've been warned. (If you want a better experience, watch the first 20 minutes or so of the Sonic Adventure 2 movie)

prototype, i had no idea what the fuck was happening except i had a good time, they should have left out the story to make more room for surfing on people online challenges.

i got something about a virus turning people into red zombies and that you where the virus, i think, and that alex mercer released the virus, maybe.

Did you react the same way with Lucky Star? Because the first couple of episodes I was completely baffled. Then, once I had seen a few, I realized that there was a minor plot, but it was unimportant. Still one of the best Animes in existence in my opinion.

Chrono Cross. Go on, read a plot summary. And you have to do it while listening to Yakety Sax. IT'S A RULE.
Alright, so I actually just did that. Thank you for making that minute of my life so amazing.

OT: IN Ricky Gervais' "The Invention of Lying"...

Everybody has to tell the truth, but for some reason they also had to blurt out every little topic that came to their heads, no matter how rude.

I have no idea if the reason was to be left up to your imagination or not, but damn it made no sense.

I was lost throught most of Transformers 2. Probably because I was half asleep, and feel asleep for like 2 hours after it was done. But yeah, I really didn't take anything in. You could ask me what happened, and I honestly couldn't tell you.
Some robots fought with each other...that's about it.

For me it would have to be Halo 3. Considering I blazed through that in one sitting with a friend without breaks when we were both pretty tired, not much story was taken in by either of us.

Do the audio logs in Halo 3:ODST count?

Cause those confused me.
It makes sense as you end it, trust me. And it has a surprisingly good conclusion as well.
I highly doubt it, and I'm not going to go dig up all 30 of those audio logs just to check.

any and all Pokemon games.

Has anyone else noticed that there are 12 year olds running around that instantly challenge each other to cockfights just by crossing eyes?

Seriously, the fuck?

I like to think that it is failed super soldier research that gave children the fury of a Halo fanboy. Or maybe they're just all Halo fanboys and your character is wearing an "I hate halo shirt"?

The Matrix. Now don't get me wrong, I've seen all the movies plus the Animatrix and I've played Entre The Matrix, all countless times (and I actually liked Reloaded and Revolutions). I know the story like the back of my hand (not that I regularly check the back of my hand, but the point is still valid). But when watching it hungover? Then that's some crazy banana shit, right there.

Last Saturday my housemates and I had a housewarming party. I was drinking from about 7pm and didn't get to bed until 5am, despite the fact that somebody stole most of my alcohol. Nevertheless, I went to bed drunk, and spent all Sunday hungover. So when my housemates all agreed that we were too hungover to go out that night, we decided to watch a movie and stay in. Guess what film we chose? That's right, The Matrix. I have the DVDs so we got number one out to watch it. And you know what? I could barely follow it at all. I know the story completely and yet the whole Matrix plot went straight out the window.

Little tip. Never try watching a complicated film like that when drunk, or hungover. You'll just end up achieving the same effects as drunkenness without any of the good parts, like beer goggles.

This and Fight Club...... Well when I watched to the end it made a little more sense but I still have some questions about the movie unanswered.

Both the original ending to Neon Genesis: Evangelion, and the End of Evangelion movie.

Turns out, the creator of NGE based Shinji Ikari on himself when he went off his anti-depression meds (or something like that). That was the only part of that whole rigmarole I ever figured out.

There was a plot in Transformers 2? Why was I not made aware of this?
