Thou shalt not make a sequel, triology or series if the narrative was never originally intended to continue.

Thou shalt not undertake said sequel, triology or series unless they intend to produce said games.

Thou shalt not introduce an interesting romantic subplot or undertone and not bring it to a satisfying conclusion.

Thou shalt not bring celebrities to lend their voices to games.

Thou shalt not use Nolan North.

Thou shalt not make a good game and then go out of business.

Thou shalt not skip cutscenes. It grindes on me when people do so. WHY PLAY THE GAME?!
Gameplay, obviously - you foolish person. Are you so blind that you must ask that question?
Im meaning games where their Cutscenes are vital to their story telling, such as Final Fantasy or GTA. I once had a friend who cut every cutscene in pretty much every game he played at it drove me mad when he asked me what was happening. Gameplay does not explain everything.
I agree with you in that context. However some developers insist on sticking them right after a loading screen so every time you fail they expect you to watch it again.

It gets extremely irritating.
I was thinking more L4D and L4D2 to be honest.

This one should be modified:

Thou shalt not bring celebrities to lend their voices to games unless you make them work for their money.

I agree that some celebrities simply phone in their performances. But when they do it well, like Charlie Murphy and James Woods in GTA: San Andreas, it can add alot to the experience.

Thou shalt not on fire. If it is on fire, don't anything. Seriously, just stay away from things that are on fire. In any game. Ever. Unless it's Pokemon and you're using water types. Then, by all means, go ahead.
