Maybe they shouldn't have adapted the "online pass" system.
I can't guarantee that it would've sold much better but I can guarantee that it would've sold at least one more copy.

Providing the marine class has more than 3 classes (tactical, assault and devastator) I'll be happy.
THQ - give me my bloody techmarines! Is it so much to ask?
(answer - no. They're probably the easiest to balance, what with their mix of light shooting and light melee weapons. Come on, you've given us techpriests!)

I'm looking forwards to this - but if it's based on WH40K:SM, I'm not too sure how well that'll go - to me, it seems a little too focussed on hitting people in the face...

First of all I would rather have a 2nd Space Marine game over the MMO...at least if Space Marine 2 fails I wouldnt have spent the DL time + Game cost + $15 a month

Personally....Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2: Space Wolves would make an awesome title...or maybe someone else....

Dark Millennium made me cry when it said you basically get to become a Grey Knight @ 40 (or at least thats what everyone cried about Elder being Imperium and such when I read the info elsewhere)

Also I want to know a lot more before you start axing sequals and throwin fits...

Armor Customization...etc etc etc

That's kind of disappointing. While Space Marine wasn't the best game ever made it wasn't a bad introduction to the series. It think it definitely has a good foundation to build on. With some tweaking and refinement it could be turned into something really special. Maybe go the whole Dynasty Warriors route and let you play as diffrent heroes from different factions, like an Eldar farseer, or an Ork Big Mek, or a Chaos Plague Marine. Or do one where you follow a Space Marine's entire "career" starting out as an initiate and ending as a dreadnought. Maybe add some rpg like elements to it.

Actually I kind of hope it uses Space Marine's combat system. I can't stand the combat system used by MMO's like WoW. Which is weird because I don't mind when it's used in single player rpgs like Dragon Age: Origins. I like everything else about MMO's just not the whole "click on something wait for it to die" combat system. If they're making an MMO where I can actively smack Eldar around with a choppa then I'm sold.

I hope you can play as more than a Space Marine if you chose to serve the Emperor, though it would be hard to justify a Imperial Guardsman (even a Colonel or Commissar) being able to go at it evenly with a Space Marine... An interesting mechanic I guess would be to have you control a specialist squad as a IG player? :D

I really want to get to play as a Tech-Priest. The Adeptus Mechanicus never get any games, yet are awesome.

I swear, if you can "pilot" a Titan in either the unlikely Space Marine 2, or the MMO, I am going to murder people. A Titan is run by a crew, and the leader of that crew(the Princeps) is physically and mentally linked to the machine. Many of the Princeps in the setting become so irrevocably bonded with the sentience of the Titan, they must live inside it within an immersion tank, or risk catastrophic brain-damage every time they disconnect.

Not to mention that the Titan Legions are a sub-faction of the Adeptus Mechanicus, one of the most insular factions in the setting; the idea that they'd suddenly be cool with thousands of Marines, Guardsmen, or whatever the MMO classes end up being just pottering about on their sacred God Machines and casually ordering them about is ludicrous.

Hell, I know I sound a bit anal-retentive, but why bother getting the rights to an established setting if you're just going to change things around, just make up your own dystopian sci-fantasy future world.
Im not even saying go as far as to pilot it JUST USE IT! Every time im told about one its a bloody scrap heap with a death-a-majigg on top thats still opperational.
