It would not be ironic if this topic would happen to fail. I'll let Bender "Bending" Rodriquez define irony:

As for failed topics... One about nationalism in the Politics and Religion sub-forum, when I still read that one.
Your comment is ironic, a cigar/cookie (your choice) for anyone who can point out why.

I've been laughing with friends about how some anime shows like to take something mundane (Card games, bread baking, majong) and then create a setting where it is the most important thing in the world. I challenged the other escapists to come up with ideas of their own and possible throw in some cheesy lines they made up. I don't think I got a single comment.

I have one here, i made it when i was extremely bored...

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.240512-Free-MMO#8678506

I don't blame it, it was shit. It deserved 0 replies.

And damn you, first reply. This thread did indeed have the potential to be quite ironic,
but then you came along and RUINED IT, DIDN'T YOU, FFS FML ETC. ARRRGAHAA!!1

I HAAEEET YUUUUU!!1

This has potential to be a shit post, quite indeed. Sorry everyone i'm tired, like i always am.

Most of my review posts. Nobody agreeing or disagreeing with my opinion, just reading and then going away. It makes me lonely.

I made one about pumpkin carving last year around this time, I'll probably do the same thing again this year.

It'll be just as successful.

A few weeks ago I made a thread asking peoples opinions on the facebook movie The Social Network. Not a single reply, the thread faded into obscurity like it didn't even exist.

I made one asking why people group all reality TV in the same category, as I think The Amazing Race is a very good show and that Survivor can be fun to watch.

But I made one comment along the lines of "I'm obviously smarter than you because I don't watch Family Guy" which was obviously not meant seriously and the only replies to the thread were about how I'm such a dick for saying that. Sure, sarcasm doesn't translate well on the internet. But sometimes you just have to let common sense step in.

I made a thread many moons ago on real life 'Catch 22' experiences.

Hilarity did not ensue.

:(

I remember another thread about this once...

OT: Nah. Although my reviews never get many replies, I don't mind.
For reviews to get good replies, you need to strike up a small fan-club that follows your reviews. Or just look at what Marter does and rip off copy adopt what he does in his reviews as they always gets at lease 10 comments from what I've seen. Failing that, review a big game that everyone loves and call it shit then feel free to bask in the heat of anger.

Or review some users, that's what got me the "On Fire" and "Excellent Topic" badges. XD

OT: A few of my threads have failed horribly. The subjects of those that failed are karma, J-Pop, football players being over-paid, numerous reviews and many more. That said, I have had a few successful threads as well so it's not too bad. Balances out nicely.

But I'm far too lazy to actually play a game/watch a movie/read a book to review it, I just find something in my bedroom, and spend 5 minutes writing about how I could totally bludgeon someone to death with it.
I can find you links to the other, more successful reviews I did if you want...

Reviewing users isn't too bad an idea, though I suppose that's what roasts are for hmm?

I got both of those badges by making a forum game, you may recall 'In Case Of...'

Ah, fair enough, not many people like to review games anyway. I'm getting a bit eh on them myself. And as long as you've got something to review that you can see, that's cool. Review your chair or bed, that'd be awesome, actually.

And true, the roasts have taken away the chance to review users. Just remember, I started the idea ages ago...yes, I am taking credit for that. XD [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.150467-Poll-sasquatch99-reviews-his-possibly-soon-to-be-ex-friends-list#3532679]

And I do recall that, didn't it get sunk a while back?

I did a review of the brave little toaster, it died on its ass so fast it was embarrassing. Though my threads are always a big hit or miss.

My chair? It's a fairly boring stool, not some mystical device for guarding somebody's arse from Cthulu...damnit, how can I resist that? XD

Well continue it on! Submit some tongue-lashings to the Emcees!

Quite a while ago I think. 'Twas rather fun.

Look at the top navigation bar thingy, and hit forums.

Next choose a topic.

To the top right, there should be a NEW TOPIC button

So many.... so many... *tear*

I honestly can't think of any specific ones, but I've had more than a few stillborn threads.
