EDIT: OT: Probably San Andreas or Legend of Disgaea.

Steam's got Tropico with its Paradise Island expansion plus Tropico 2: Pirate Cove in the "Tropico Reloaded" pack for $14.99. Worth every cent if your old discs are no longer workable. As for GotRE, I tend to have higher standards for city-builders since I've been playing them since SimCity Classic (on the SNES, believe it or not the best version of the first SimCity.)Alpha Centauri said:I liked glory of the roman empire :/ But thats just me I guess, and my Tropico got broken, then my brother got punched in the face, its been bad because I've really been craving to play.SimuLord said:I'm extremely skeptical on Tropico 3, because Haemimont Games is developing it, and they couldn't make a good game if you put a gun to their heads. The wretched Glory of the Roman Empire and Imperium Romanum were Haemimont-developed games.Alpha Centauri said:Tropico is an awesome game! I love it! Im looking forward to Tropico 3 in October (16th)SimuLord said:2001: Tropico
If Phil Steinmeyer (who did Railroad Tycoon 2 and the original Tropico and has since moved on to doing casual games) were involved I'd be more hyped up about it, but Haemimont's track record is gods-awful. I still own Tropico (and it runs fine on Windows 7), so I'll just play that.
You're giving Game of the Decade to an expansion pack? Really? Is that your final answer?Christemo said:2000: Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Shadow of Death.
2001: Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Armageddons Blade (best game ever).
2002: Age of Mythology.
2003: Warcraft 3.
2004: Warcract 3: The Frozen Throne (try to said that 3 times fast).
2005: WoW (all expansions is shadow-winners of their respective release year).
2006: Titan Quest
2007: COD4 (even tho i first played it in 08).
2008: tie between SSBB/L4D/COD: WaW.

First released for the N64 on June 30th, 1998, so I'd say this one doesn't count...?Custard_Angel said:Banjo Kazooie takes the head of my list with no real contest... It was fun, charming, imaginative and awesome. Yellow shorts ftw.
I spent just about all of 2005 (when I wasn't playing Rome and its expansion) playing HoI2, but I am also pretty well-known as probably THE biggest Paradox fanboy on these forums, so take that for what it's worth. HoI2 comes in at #8 on my all-time best games list; Civ4 ranks 12th.oliveira8 said:I think that Civ 4>Hearts of Iron 2 in your list. Civ4 made me play Civilization, which was very odd cause I disliked alot the series. HoI2 while an awesome game didn't add much from HoI.
