Mister Iamsmartass made just a topic of everything everyone already knows. We know that is impossible until somebody actually travels.

How is it possible to change the past if is already happened? If someone was to come back in time to our time from the future we'd see them now.

Going backwards in time would probably 'cause paradoxical situations and fail.

Going FORWARD in time, murdering, raping, pillaging, etc would be hilarious, 'cause you're not doing anything to pre-existing time lines.

I believe time travel is immposible because it is more of a measurment between events, instead of something that can be traveled through. Simpily put, the past and the future do not exsist, only the present. But this is just me.

I don't think anyone is qualified to say it will never be possible.

I bet people like you said that flying wasn't possible.

Just you wait....

If it WAS possible... Then how come we haven't seen anyone come from the future back to NOW?

Time travel could already exist. Think about it. If someone is going to go back in time and change history, then it has already happened and we are living that change and its effects.

Time travel is the ultimate headache, because no matter what you consider doing in the past with a time machine could already have been done in the future and its effect is already involved in history, and we wouldn't be any the wiser.

Has Microsoft released it's first version of Windows yet, or am I in time?

Never say never.

Leading scientists once said that it was physically impossible for a man to run 1 mile in anything faster then 4 minutes - our bodies just wouldn't be able to take the strain.

Other scientists didn't think it was possible to break the sound barrier.

But wait a minute:
aren't you saying that the reason for time travel being impossible demands that somebody time travels?

Complete MINDFUCK!

I've always believed that IF timetravel would be possible in the future, there would be no changes to the current timeline. Because all the changes have already happened, and helped the time get to the point we're currenty at.

Wasn't there a news article a while ago on BBC about a guy who think's he's cracked it? using lasers or something to focus on a point (insert super "Bill Nye The Science Guy" explanation here)? but he said you would only be able to go back to when the first machine was made, and not forward, only between the present and the creation of the first machine?

The only reason to disrepute time travel is that time travelers from the future have not come to our present yet.

SUPER MINDFUCK.

But, in all honesty, the most logical conclusion yet so far. And the best part is, we wouldn't know, because we would have grown up in thes "alternately changed" universe. And the parallel Universe theory is also a possibility, that there are many planes of existence (not in the higher religious dedication way (sorry to any devout believers, not meaning to offend )) and that we are but one of many possible realities?

Please refer to the TIMESHIFT cutscenes for further info :p

Time is instantaneous. Anything you try to change has already been done by you, so you're not actually changing anything. The past cannot be changed.
