There's a Flash game called 'Smoking Kills', one of those games where you're a stick figure with a sniper rifle taking pot-shots at other stick figures in that style that was popular in 2005 or so. Look it up, it was a thing. Anyway, one of its mechanics is the ability to buy upgrades for your rifle between missions, one of which is a wooden stock which is described as follows: "Not only will it reduce recoil, it will look cool and impress Russians."
The sixth (maybe seventh) mission in the game takes place in Russia, and before you can reach your vantage point on the target, you have to take out a pair of guards. If you have the wooden stock upgrade, though, you can just walk right past them, saving both time and ammo costs.
