You're not alone in loving 'mech games. I love them probably as much as you do. I grew up on games like MechWarrior, et al. I guess I just don't see hating Titanfall for lacking solo options. Disliking? Sure, absolutely.[footnote]Yeah, I'm one of those bastards that argues semantics. Apologies.[/footnote]Quellist said:Mech games are like crack to me, especially ones where you can get out of the mech and have fun also. For example i'm checking pretty much on a daily basis for a release date for Xenoblade Chronicles X (And yes, the idea of multiplayer in it worries me a lot...if the singleplayer experience is in any way reduced by a focus on multiplayer i will be Very pissed). So i particularly hate Titanfall because i would have LOVED it in singleplayer
Though I won't say it makes the game worth a purchase for someone like yourself, it is possible to play Titanfall solo. One can play the Frontier Defense mode by themselves, for example.
Granted, the mode is damn near impossible to beat by oneself, but it is playable.
Still, here's hoping Titanfall 2 has some kind of dedicated solo options, so people like you and I can enjoy it in the ways we'd prefer. And, for the PC playerbase's sake, here's hoping that it's not Origin only...
