Almost all criticisms and complaints that I've come across about Titanfall come from pure ignorance on what it actually is and the details surrounding it.

Just...state the facts. State your opinion. Then, move on.

I love the incredibly condescending comments people around here take when talking to anyone who shows the smallest hint of interest in Titanfall.

It speaks volumes about the mindset of those posters.

And let's be honest here: Brutal Legend and Syndicate had FAR bigger issues than being distributed under EA's Partners program.

But hey, if you want to continue to think literally everything associated with EA, no matter how involved (or not involved) EA is, is the "worst thing ever" and is the bane of the industry, well, far be it from me to invalidate the "reasoning" behind your hate.

That's what I'm starting to loathe about this place let alone Destructoid, the same mentality of people that hate what you for the first time in years like, I've been wanting a game like this for quite some time and no other game before has done it for me until TF showed up.

But you know these guys keep saying EA is balls deep, ergo I cannot possibly enjoy this game let alone be allowed to like it lest I get labeled as a "sheeple" person who's dumb and retarded or even "deluded" from the ultimate truth.

Fucking bullshit is what that is, I'm getting inches closer day bay day to outwardly telling people on here to fuck off, tired of getting my opinion shoved in the backseat, tired ot Steam always getting the shitty praise, tired of PC's getting the last fucking word, tired of the same arguments used against a game someone likes.

I'll basically snap if this thread devolves into yet another hate on EA but ignore how good Titan fall can be thread.

Could Titanfall be good and worth a purchase, yes. Could it also have major problems attached due to bugs and issues with Origin, yes. I think it would be best to wait to see how Titanfall goes or until people in the beta talk talking.

Yeah, that antagonistic mindset is pretty common in all forums these days, really. That doesn't make it any less frustrating, though.

Anyway, just ignore it. You won't convince Minionjoe, and he won't convince you. There's nothing left but to get really mad at each other. And you seem more emotionally invested than him, so it's only going to end badly for you, I'm afraid.

Hope you enjoy the game, you seem pretty excited for it. I'm not going to bother. I'm not a fan of multiplayer shooters, and playing from NZ is probably going to give me lag up the wazoo anyway. But whatever. We'll see if EA has managed to tarnish the game in any way. Hopefully they haven't.

I'm honestly not mad at anyone for expressing their opinion, but I would very much like to change some of those opinions. Unfortunately, it usually takes a person getting personally screwed over by EA for that to happen. Believe it or not, I'm just trying to give people some resistance to the shock when it does happen.

Still surprised no one has mentioned an EA game that met expectations. They used to be an awesome company. I'd played M.U.L.E. and Pinball Construction Set on my C-64 for years and Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight on Tandy 1000. Of course, that was well before the age of mass media marketing, so they probably don't count.

Yeah, alright. You could go about it in a more pleasant way. Look at Vigormortis' and Shadow-Phoenix's respones to your posts. Do they look like people who are about to be convinced by your arguments? No, all you've done is pissed them off. And when you use language like "fanwank" and "delude yourself" it's no surprise that they've done so.

And I dunno. I'm assuming you'll tell me that I'm wrong, since it's a fairly obvious answer, but Dragon Age: Origins? New IP, won several GoTY awards. If that isn't meeting expectations, then I'm not entirely sure what is. Had a shitty sequel, of course, but the first game was pretty good. Same could be said for Mass Effect 2, without the new IP bit.
