The fact it's coming to PC draws my interest too. Though I'm not too hopeful considering how much of a miserable failure Crysis 3 Multiplayer turned out to be on PC in terms of player populations (i.e. jack-all) despite having some of the most AMAZING movement to exist in an FPS. Seriously, the mobility and flexibility is comparable to Spiderman.

As for subscription costs... wow. Still can't believe people have been paying those for online multiplayer with a goddamn console. Glad I've never seen the point in that.
Inferior controls, inferior visuals, inferior gameplay AND a subscription to boot. But I continue to maintain that the ultimate paradox in this world is why 80-85% of the total population playing first person shooters exists on console.

Battlefield 3:

It blows the mind!!

Yeah, unless you have the PC version, you will probably be playing regular price for a polished multiplayer experience. I'd prefer that to the crappy linear campaigns + mediocre deathmatch multiplayer most of today's AAA games offer. We pay full price + subscription fees for MMOs, so I hardly see how this is any different.

It isn't really mind blowing. Consoles are WAYY cheaper, and most people can afford them more easily than a PC rig that can handle BF3 at a decent clip.

If they allow Mods. This is ex-Infinity Ward, who prevented mods on their Call of Duty entries to ensure Map Packs retained their inherent value, with EA Games as the publisher.

OT:
Of course they will charge full price. And they'll deliver a great experience. It's not for me, I suspect it'll get lost in the noise of Call of Duty: Ghosts when it hits, and it's not half as revolutionary as people seem to want it to be - frankly, Unreal Tournament 2004 still leaves this for dead - but it'll be a polished, well made and competent game worthy of the asking price.
