When they say "exclusive", they are referring to it's exclusivity to Microsoft/EA platforms. I.E. Microsoft consoles and Origin. All other platforms and distributions are being, theoretically, ignored.Battenberg said:snip
So, in this case, their use of the word is correct. One just needs to understand the context in which they're using it.
It's the equivalent of a game licensed by Sony, but developed and published by, let's say...Valve, being released solely on Playstation 3, Playstation 4, the PSP, and Steam. In this case the game is exclusive to the platforms associated with the parties involved.
Depending on how successful the game is, quite possibly. If it does well enough, and Respawn decides to go forward with ports, then they may be able to license a GOTY (or some other "special" edition) for other platforms. Assuming the deal EA, Respawn, and Microsoft have worked out doesn't prohibit all variants of the first game from being ported to non-Microsoft and EA platforms.Covarr said:What about Titanfall: Game of the Year Edition? Can that be released on PS4?
P.S. Thanks
