Does anybody else hate when people say TL;DR and honestly how long does it take to read a few sentences anyway? Also why even reply to a thread if you didn't even bother to read it, it's just so damn pointless.
STFU.TL;DR
Haha, just kidding.
It's even more annoying when they post it on a review you might have spent two to four weeks writing up... ¬¬Marter said:Maybe they reply to tell them that their wall of text was too difficult to read. I dunno, but I'll definitely agree that it is annoying.
That's a good point. An important part of communicating something is to be concise. If it's longer then it needs to be maybe people shouldn't have to read it, and saying TL;DR helps them learn to get to the point.Marter said:Maybe they reply to tell them that their wall of text was too difficult to read. Yeah, anything short of calling on Wall of Texts is pretty dickish.NeutralDrow said:I can understand not wanting to read something that's three pages long on a subject that doesn't pique your interest, but yeah, tl;dr is pretty pointless. Why bothering responding?
I mean, calling out walls of text, yeah. That's legitimate. But complaining about length isn't necessary.
Yeah, I'm a little slow in my writing process. Mainly as I have a few other things that require attention first, plus I'm not a great conveyor of my thoughts and opinions, unlike you are.Marter said:...Sassafrass said:It's even more annoying when they post it on a review you might have spent two to four weeks writing up... ¬¬

What's even worse is when they don't read it because 'you're attacking them'.Owyn_Merrilin said:It does annoy me when people actually post TLR, especially when they're arguing with someone and they refuse to read the post that they are responding to. However, I occasionally include a TL
R section in my longer posts, but I use it more as a way to summarize and close out an overly long and complicated post than as an actual option for people too lazy to read it.
