And then both of ya end up moving to queensland and complaining about our lack of daylight saving.

What's next? "I'm going to the store, what should I buy?"
Bread and eggs. Maybe some cheese.

Truth is there isn't a whole lot we can recommend you do in Melbourne because well... most of us have never been there. Even if we had what is there to recommend. New York or Paris, there are things to see, but Melbourne?

I've heard there is a cinema in Melbourne that has large seats and your own personal spot, with a table to put your food and drinks on. It's a little like a country club meets a 5 star restaurant meets a movie cinema. Maybe you could research that and go and see a movie? Movies are fun. Any zoo is good if you like pointing at animals. The comedy scene is a good one but like people said, most of the places you'll find a comedian is a club. The shopping scene is good apparently but holidays shouldn't be about buying things. Maybe dedicate one day to shopping, but it should not make up the bulk of the holiday.

You could get involved with a gang. They are pretty popular around those parts at the moment.

..That's called gold class. You can get it in Sydney too. You can order real food, dessert and wine. Plus you get large recliner chairs. It's actually pretty good.

I'll put another note up that I can't do pubs/clubs. I'm not 18 yet.
Put it off until you are. (yes that's a joke).
If you life sports then, well, take your pick (cricket, tennis, AFL, rugby etc)
PJ O'briens in southbank plaza has really nice pub food (I go maybe once a week at work for lunch)
Ummmm..hmm
Guadalupes mexicali cantina in essendon (near glenbervie trainstation) is pretty good if you like mexican, as are the various taco bills around the city.
Other than food and sport I can't think of anything

You might be able to get into some of the clubs, but you can't sit at the bar or order alcoholic beverages. Then again, that's the US, and the drinking age is 21 here, and I thought you were over 18 up until now, so what the hell do I know?
