Hiya escapists.

Once again, it's time for a new installment of Jonluw asks the community trivial and slightly disturbing fascinating questions.

Today's topic: How do you deal with your toenail clippings?

We all have to cut our nails every now and then, unless you lack nails entirely that is. But it's not something most people afford much thought. Noone discusses it, so I suspect everyone just deals with it in their own unique way with no agreed upon standard method or procedure.

I cut my toenails with my feet resting on the edge of my bathtub, so as to catch all the clippings in there. Then I just flush the clippings down the drain later.
How about you?

Do you collect your clippings in a jar for safekeeping? Do you just cut your nails in the living room, hoping no one will notice them before the next time you vacuum the room, or do you aim at the trash-can?
Tell the community!

My clippers have a space inside them which allow clippings to fall in there. When I finish, I empty it into a bin.

Good grief, how uncouth! No, of course not, I collect them, take the clippings from other family members, combine them with our fingernail clippings and make a soup out of 'em!

...

Now there's an image...

Seriously, though:

I just let them litter the carpet. They're biodegradable. If I clip them in the office I'll use the bin.

I drive an automatic so I can do my fingernails in the car and sometimes I think about getting one of those cars with a sensor that keeps you at a certain distance from the car in front whilst controlling the breaks for you; that way I could do all my nails in the car and I'd be well efficient. Not sure it'd be worth the extra cost though.

Uggkkhh, people clipping their toe nails around me makes me retch. Most people just usually let them fly all over the place and I cringe like hell.
I don't like clipping my own toe nails either, I usually file them down and put any mess in the bin.

As for keeping them in jar, I was watching Snog Marry Avoid where one girl kept her pubes and toenails in a jar...

Ugh, oh my god I saw that one too... scarred for life..
The way that girl dressed was clearly the least of her problems.

As for me, I put them straight in the bin.

I just do exactly as you described, I do it over the bath tub and wash them down afterward.

Although sometimes, I do like to paint them individually and sell them off on the black market as highly radiated, colourful toe-nails.

Also, I sell them to Italian restraunts. Be warned.

I always do it in the bathroom, using the toilet as a seat. (and no, I don't use it at the same time).

Then I put them in the bin.

I throw my toenail clippings on to the lawn.
But now I regret it because of all the toenail trees in my back yard.

Ugg... ugggh... ugh... ... ... wut?! Not my kind of show, but what in the hell does she intend to do with her jar full of (toenails &) pubes?! Show it to her prospective in-laws and croon 'my precious'?! Actually the first thing I thought of was: in what way does she remove them that easily facilitates transfer to a jar?! >_< Any way you think it is more disturbing than the fact that she collects it. *hrk*

Throw them away mostly. Unless theres a really big one, in which case it acts like a chew toy for a few minutes.

I'm single by the way.

You didn't ask about fingernails, but I'm going to tell you them too. The reason will be made clear(ish).

I cut my fingernails with a pair of nail clippers while holding my hands/fingers over a trashcan. The clippings, obviously, go into the trashcan. If my aiming fails and I miss the trashcan I will pick the clippings up and put them where they should go. I'm pretty sure that's roughly how most people do that.

For my toenail clippings... they also go into the trash bin, but my methods for removal will not be revealed here.

Since my toenails are rhino tough, I have litraly broken 6 sets of clippers in the last year even acttual TOEnail clipper (its kinda one of my super powers, ALL THE BETTER TO CATCH FISH WITH MY DEAR), I can only clip them quickly when I step outta the shower, no real place in particular to do the deed since the risk of shrapnel is low when they are moist, occasionally I'll let them dry out and throw them into my roommate's room so he can step on them always good for a few yuks. lol which reminds me they seem about due for another trimming.

I tend to catch them in my hand and either throw them away as I go, or make a small pile which I dispose of immediately when I'm done.
