Wow, given those names, I never thought I'd be reduced to a "Meh" but... meh.
Maybe it will surprise me at a later point in development, but based on that trailer I have absolutely no interest what so ever. It doesn't even look like it's got the Suda 51 weirdness going on that I've never really enjoyed but that would still catch my eye.

As a horror game I'll give it a big, fat FAIL. I guess the action might be okay though. Seriously, zero of the charm of Silent Hill that made it a good thriller. Practically no atmosphere; the lighting was awful. And what the Hell is psychological about it? You go around shooting demon things that pop up everywhere. Pathological maybe, but my brain isn't being tickled with "what if's", "What the **** was that?", or "I can't watch!" as I cover my eyes with my hands but peek through the fingers. I take that back, I did say to myself I can't watch but for an entirely different reason 3/4 the way through. This trailer was not the way to go about selling a thriller.
Uh-oh, based on that trailer it seems like the writing is coming from the Resident Evil side of things.

and i know its going to be pure fun and guns, so maybe i will like it.
It looks like blam blam shooty fun, but here I was hoping for subtle horror to maybe make a comeback; kinda gave up on that when I saw it was the same director of RE:4. Don't get me wrong, love him to death, but it's nothing on Silent Hill.
I truly wonder how well this game will fit together. I'm getting kind of a House of the Dead vibe from it. Suda 51 has created some unique games, and he can do his own creepy kind of scary, but it's the opposite of the kind of scary Resident Evil 4 is. Putting them together seems like a profitable partnership, I'm just not sure that the result will be anything special. The gameplay looks like nothing new, it seems to all be in the visual style and presentation.

Yeah I tried it out awhile back. Pretty good, although I daresay it isn't quite as a good as Amnesia, but it's up there.Ekonk said:
