I recent thread post brought me here

For those who are like me and don't feel like clicking on the link, it should bring you to a church forum (and not you're normal neighborhood church, either) with entire threads dedicated to disproving gravity and how the Earth is round, how Skyrim encourages devil worship and how TF2 feature homosexual characters, and bashing just about everyone who doesn't feel the same way they do. Not to mention there's a "Punched the Most Queers" award for members.
As I flipped through threads that seemed like there's no way people could think this way (unless this is some kind of elaborate joke no one told me about), it kept reminding me about how, as a child, I'd try to correct my younger brother when he played games wrong, but my mom would stop me and tell me to let him play it his way.
It's hard to say whether these people are actually hurting other people, but it's clear that they're not big on different people--race and creed.
We can assume this is just some kind of fringe group, but in a way they represent the more sane but still backwards (we're assuming tollerating gays and blacks is considered forward) and intollerant.
This by no means is a thread about "hey look at these guys" and I'd rather not see, "well you just gave them X number more views," because that's not what this about. This is about posing the question, "Who are we to try to correct these people and people like them?"
EDIT:
It's great to know that my example was only joke, but this still doesn't answer the discussion question.
