Ah the magic of torrents. The first few months of 2010 are set to be worse though.

Personally I don't think there's enough. There may have been a lot of releases at once but that doesn't mean I want to play them all or watch them all..

More and more release dates appear to be chiefly aimed around when kids are on their holidays. Holidays = Kids pressuring adults to buy them stuff. So there's always bursts of higher release activitiy throughout the year, as an adult gamer / movie goer it'd be nicer if there was a more even distribution.

Funny that someone said by March there won't be many because March is the next main release period for a number of highly anticipated titles (and it's just before Easter!)

Yes. It's called market competition. It's not just console companies that compete, games developers do as well.

If you can't afford them all, choose one.
But thats the point, I don't want to have to choose one... I know that I can't have every one I want, I just wish I could have more of what I want than I am currently getting.

Well, the OP admited (rather childishly) a moment ago that "I'm greedy, I want to play them now!"

But yeah; there isn't exactly an upper time-limit on when you can get a game as long as it's still available from somewhere. I only got Deus Ex fairly recently, and I'm loving it... but the disc got a huge scratch on it recently and I needed to re-install windows, so I have to go buy it again. And in the mean time, I'm stuck NOT playing it. Dx

Besides, waiting can help judge if the game is really worth it or not; gameplay videos become fairly abundant, and it's more reliable to judge whether a game is worth getting or not from one's own observations rather than those of others.

Yeah, but for all the people who aren't worthless scrotes, there will be decisions about what to purchase.

This year is going to be... Mental... :D

I got Deus Ex last year... What a game. Loved it, so your point holds true. I still play my old PlayStation Games; MGS, GTA /2, etc... that being said I would like to play new games that I like the look of when they come out rather than a few months from now as in a few months from now I don't know what I'll be doing.

I really REALLY wish you where right, sadly though with Games, from now untill March alot of games will still be coming out because of a little game called Modern warfare 2, if you heard of it (Sarcasm strongly intended) Everything got pushed back to avoid competing in Christmas sales, I mean look at this week alone, Darksiders, Bayonetta and Divinity 2. Next week Army Of Two 40th day and there will be alot more (And alot of them share a release date... Fun right?)

No, because I find I'm only interested in about a third of what's being released. There are maybe a few games I don't get to try, but for the most part I'm good.

Yep. I'm too poor to buy any significant number of anything too. And unlike Continuum, I want to torrent/download as little as possible. I don't want to be a part of the rampant piracy.

Mass Effect 2, BioShock 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Dante's Inferno, Crackdown 2, Dead Rising 2, TRON Evolution, Kane and Lynch 2, Medal of Honor, Rage, Army of Two: The 40th Day, Alien vs Predator... Ugh... This year sucks. So many games I want, so little money...
I'm holding my breath when it comes to K&L: Dog Days and Army of Two: The 40th Day.
I liked the first Kane and Lynch, but the bad outweighted the good in far too many cases. The levels were incredible, though.

AOT, though, might just get my attention as a rental.

Anyway, it's better to have too much than not enough. I normally keep around $70-100 in a hidden spot for a rainy occasion when a game slips me by, and I need to buy it. Though I do agree that it can feel like we're being bombarded by awesome games.

Just queue those suckers up. By the further down the list you get, the cheaper the next item will have become.

If you were properly "cheap/poor," you would have learned to stop caring about what you are missing.

The trick is being an elitist bastard who goes to the cinema maybe once in a blue moon.

It's not very social but it saves a ton of cash.

It's pretty good for me. My Birthday is pretty early (April 17) so I won't have to buy many of my games. The only one I'm thinking of buying before, is Heavy Rain. Besides that, I'll probably get God of War 3 and Bad Company 2 on my birthday.

Not for me. Battlefield Bad Company 2, Dawn of War 2: Chaos Rising, God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, Supreme Commander 2, Command & Conquer 4, and Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening all come out in March.
