I'd be much more excited if I didn't know deep down that CN is going to fuck it up somehow.
They already are trying. Adult Swim is writing and making "original anime series" to put on the new Toonami.

Considering how shit almost all of Adult Swim's "original" programming is, this won't end well.
Oh God please no, I don't think I've ever gone from excited to scared this fast before. Do they even have any experience with anime at all?

Captcha: total shamble <-- I hope not!
ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING LINEUP.

NOT ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING.

TWO DIFFERENT THINGS ENTIRELY.

There, can you see it?
...Yes? Calm down buddy, not sure if you misquoted me but I was never debating the difference between original programming and programming lineup

While I no longer watch kid TV these days I can only hope that if it is real, the Uk will follow suit. The kids of this generation should get an awesome programme slot like we did when it was aired.
Not trying to offend, but isn't MLP technically "kid TV"?
Just to clarify, I meant to say kids show on TV as in the TV show the kid cartoon over here in the Uk. Ok yes MLP was on TV but it was on the wrong time for me to watch it. I mean these days any kid shows that I do watch (like Young Justice or Legend of Korra) are on the internet and not on TV.

Big O needs to go away for awhile. Id love to see cardcaptors again. Pokemons on boomerang so theres no need for that. DBZ kai is on nicktoons so I dont need that.
Deathnote, eureka seven and code geass Id like to see back

Evangelion is what id want back most of all.

But Id like them to invest in new good anime, after all toonami introduced me to anime.

That's pretty awesome. I'd be more thrilled if I had cable television, though I've been watching toonami shows for some time now on toonamiaftermath.com, and Korra's been airing on Nick's website so I'm not starved for good television anymore. :p

Cool. I haven't seen Tenchi Muyo in a while.
Now pardon me while I look wistfully into the sky.
"Space."

Hallelujah! Cue the chorus of angels and the flying pigs! And heaven help Cartoon Network executives if they cock it up...

For me, it really depends on what they decide to do with Toonami. Are they just bringing in the Toonami format to play during commercial breaks of their current shows, or are they adjusting their line-up to bring back the shows that were on Toonami before?

If it's the former, I'll be happy because I liked TOM and a more "adult" Toonami would be pretty cool.

If it's the latter I'll be very disappointed, because it means that shows I actually want to watch will be replaced with things I've watched through about 10 times over.

Unless it brings back Zoids, in which case I'll have no choice but to forgive them...

Captcha: let it be
Yes captcha, if they return Zoids with the rest of the shows I suppose I will just let it be.

So I saw this thread and opened it while this was playing:

Seems fitting for the Return of the Ki--I mean, Toonami.

Eh, color me fairly unexcited.

I have Trigun, Bebop and DBZ on DVD now.
And I've seen what the new lineup is.
Not terribly impressed.

Keep in mind I was not one of the many who actively tried to get the show back.

I did not either. The shows that I felt a strong connection to, Rurouni Kenshin, YuYu Hakusho and Witch Hunter Robin, I've purchased on DVD. The rest fills me with meh. It was a product of its time and should have stayed buried.

However, I'm not going to rain on other's people's parade. Toonami means more to them and it coming back is important to them.
