Top 10: Films

I am seriously disappointed that nobody has mentioned Star Wars yet. Unfortunately, there is no way I could narrow my list of favorite films down to just ten titles, and absolutely no way I could put them in any sort of order. I'm the same way with music, really -- I don't have favorite songs, or favorite artists, for that matter. There's too much good stuff out there to pick favorites.

3) Fight Club- I don't think I even need to explain this one...

At least to me.

I didn't get the hype over it, honestly :/

A lot of people like it because they want to seem manly for watching it and think what Tyler Durden thinks. They want to be him, since he seems so cool. (At least, that's what I thought it was.)

I like it because it is a well made film. Fincher plays with the 4th wall so much it's silly. The "Let me tell you a little bit about Tyler Durden" scene is one of my favorite scenes of all the movies I have watched. It breaks the fourth wall and it's hilarious the whole way through. The way Fincher puts split second clips of Tyler before he even is introduced adds a sense of foreshadowing and messes with the viewer's mind. It just does so much to fuck with you mind. It's also hilarous and featured fantastic acting from Norton, Pitt, and Helena Bonham Carter. And Meat Loaf as Bob, of course. One of the first lines of the movie: "This is Bob. Bob has ***** tits." makes me laugh every time I hear it.

So most people like it because it is a manly movie and such, I like it because it is just well made. I guess I did need to explain it.

Hm. Okay, I can respect that. I was half expecting you to go on about how manly it is or about how much of a badass Pitt was in it, to be honest

But, yes, I can see where you're coming from there.

Though, it was a good film, I preferred Fincher's other work. Which is why Zodiac was on my list earlier
