In no particular order:

Dr. Strangelove: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn
Apocalypse Now
Pulp Fiction
Once Upon A Time in the West

My favorite movies largely change based on my mood and what I've seen recently, but the first three are always constants.

I can't put ém in order

Fantasia (1940) - Most creative animation I've ever seen, covers a lot of genre's, inspired me to get into drawing and classical music.

Space Odyssey: 2001 - Most powerful film I've ever seen (especially the last 30 minutes), inspired me to try and make things more abstract.

Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Arc - Funnest and most creative action film I've seen.

Saving Private Ryan - Most realistic and most powerful atmosphere in a war film I've seen.

Silence of the Lambs - Great horror with some of my favourite acting.

There are many films not far behind like Lethal Weapon 1 & 2, The Exorcist, Alien, LotR films, Pulp Fiction, and a shit load of others I can't think of right now.

1: The Princess Bride - I don't care what people say, this movie has it all. Comedy, action, great characters, drama, romance, well cheesy romance, but the whole movie is cheese to a good extreme.

2: Aliens - Weaver is just a total kick-ass woman and sexy as hell, and the action and suspense in this movie is awesome! The moment walking out in a 'mech' suit and telling the alien queen, "Get away from her you *****!" is the best movie moment ever to me.

3: Blazing Saddles - In my opinion, Mel Brooks' best one. And still puzzling to me today. When they play this on cable they silent edit out the fart scene around the campfire, yet they still had the old woman call the black sheriff the 'N-word'. The one weirdest movie of mixed up censorship I don't understand.

4: Up - Do I need to put a reason? Go watch Movie Bob's review on this, he nails all of it perfectly.

5: The Cat Returns - I love this one so much! So much so that I watched it with the French, German, and other voice overs they did on the DVD just for the hell of it.

4. Kung Pow: Enter The Fist. I don't care what anyone says, it's an awesome movie that made me cry laughing at the theatre.
wow..first post ninja'd,

so to add on top of kung pow, i'd probably say as of this moment..

sex drive (unrated version)- fucking love this movie.

super troopers- fucking love that group of guys, at one point in time i wanted to be a state trooper from watching that movie (for maybe 2 seconds.)

enemy at the gates - the build up back and forth, the amount of pressure..JUDE LAW!??!?! just an awesome movie all around.

and the last one, i'll just say "jean claude van damme", any fucking movie he is in, idk what it is but the man crush that i have on his awesome cheesy kicks makes me love every single movie he is in.

1. Raiders of the Lost Ark: the most downright fun and memorable movie i've ever seen
2. Pulp Fiction: the coolest and best-written film. still quote it to this day
3. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: absolutely epic with an amazing score
4. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: the chemistry b/w Harrison Ford and Sean Connery makes me smile just thinking about it. fantastic ending, too.
5. WALL-E: as touching, funny, exciting and pleasant a movie as any live-action film, maybe even more so

I don't know my top 5, I'd have to really kick back and think about it. But I know my favorite movie is Ratatouille, a film that certainly deserves honorable mention is The Shawshank Redemption, and one of my favorite just kinda kick back popcorn flick is Gamera vs. Gaos.

1. Iron Man
2. Batman Begins
3. Captain America
4. The Rocketeer
5. Serenity
6. Goldeneye
(Notable mentions - Watchmen, any Quentin Tarintino movie, Jaws and most comic book movies)

Enemy at the Gates! I completely forgot about that movie, and I agree about the build up, it was so good. Especially how it was all resolved, I was speechless and saddened. Good movie over all.

Christ, I'm bad at this. Oh well.

1. The Room
2. Inception (I know, but it was fun and intelligent. You don't get that nowadays.)
3. Casino Royale (I recently heard the one word to describe it perfectly- satisfying.)
4. The Big Lebowski (Yeah, well it's just like, my opinion, man.)
5. Primer (Because it really made my head hurt.)

1. The Godfather Part One.
2. Labyrinth. (David Bowie, nuff said)
3. Kung Fu Hustle. It's like Kung Pow but a bit wackier.
4. Joes Apartment. Sure it's an MTV movie but the singing cockroaches are awesome.
5. Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

Props to movies like Sin City, the shit load of Pixar Movies (haven't seen a bad one yet) and Princess Bride (Andre the Giant? Yeehaw!)

1. Fight Club
2. Watchmen
3. V For Vendetta
4. Pulp Fiction (this should actually be number one, but in true Pulp Fiction style, I'm fouling up the order a bit)
5. Sherlock Holmes

Number 5 is debatable. I mean, I might like Black Swan or A Clockwork Orange more, but really, I don't see myself watching them over again any time soon.
