I love it. It's funny (even though I get the feeling that it can be somewhat staged recently) and it's full of wicked cars. What is there no to love?
It's something of a contradiction. I enjoy it, and find it funny, but I think Clarkson is the most piss-annoying, arrogant berk on television. An amusing berk, but a berk nonetheless.

but the show is becoming more gimmicky and now you can obviously see its staged more than a few seasons ago, but it is still very entertaining and i dont mind it that they are putting alot more comedy in as well

I still like Top Gear. But then again, that can be because i live in The Netherlands and i get everything at least 6 months later than you guys.
Yes, yes it is. I mean, its probably because its only competition is "Dr. Who" (which I hate), but even still its probably one of the best shows around, IMO.Orcus_35 said:

Does anyone else think a Top Gear game would be awesome? It's easy enough to make racing games (car models are simple, physics can be dumbed down, etc) and then add in new challenges. Or make it a sort of Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts open building type of game, where you modify a car with some parts to turn it into a speed boat or hovercraft or whatever. Those building challenges were always my favorite part of Top Gear, so if a game could pull it off that would be awesome.

I love it, but i dont look to it for information and they stage everthing, Its entertainment.

/thread. I hate doing that but he nailed it perfectly. The new Top Gear circa 2002 has been on for 8 years with season 15 confirmed for filming and it is getting a bit old with new things few and far apart. The thing is if everyone take a step back and look at what makes/made special (depending on where you stand on the matter) you'll notice that it's much to do with the presentation and the clearly obvious scripted idiocies of the three presenters. There will always be someone complaining the show, either it's not about cars, it's scripted and fake, Clarkson is a racist idiot, waste of time, etc..etc.. and the 3/4 of these complaints come from Drama Queens i.e - the Morris Marina Owners club and people who complain because it's fashionable to complain. The 1/4 who genuinely dislike it for a legitimate reason (other than it's boring or I just hate it) have a valid point. It's not as entertaining as before is because everyhting is now formulaic.Skarin said:

It's not funny when it happens for the 7th billion time, but it is still miles better than any other crap out there. They are always pushing the boundaries with something to do and make something boring (like cars) into something interesting (like challenges involving cars)
All you have to do is watch Top Gear and then Fifth Gear to find the difference.
i love Top Gear! especially when they made the amphibious vehicles and raced them across the englis channel 
Top Gears a hugely entertaining show. Granted the show might have gone past it's prime now, but it is still hugely entertaining. However, soon they will have to re-invent the show in order to keep it going, which could be a blast, or be utterly disastarous.
