The Hitman series are really good I find, less sneaky stealth and more planning what you're doing and having patience stealth. Wish they'd hurry up and make another one.

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, the best in the series and the genre in my opinion.

The only game I can stand to go in full stealth mode in is Metal Gear Solid 3.

Beyond Good & Evil had alot of good stealth segments though not completely stealth sneaking around getting photos was .... is amazing.

The Thief series. There's really no question about it; when it comes to stealth, Thief is pretty much the game that's implemented it best with excellent sound design, open non-linear levels, and good use of shadows and cover.

It also helps that the Thief series has a fantastic steampunk/fantasy setting with an excellent plot, a likable protagonist, and all sorts of other awesome stuff going for it.

Yup, Thief wins. Debate over. The End! Done.

Chronicles of Riddick will most likely always be my favorite stealth game...so much fun to sneak up behind people and snap their necks...and the counter moves were incredible as well.

Splinter Cell was the game that made me a true "gamer", I still love that feaking game! The night vision, the climbing on ceilings, damn, I wish my old Xbox was still working.

The only game I've played and liked that remotely qualified as a "stealth game" was Oblivion, at least the way I played it.

Tenchu, despite how crappy it's gone lately.

Despite loving Tenchu Z, there are just so many flaws with it.

Why bother loving it when it's as broken as the soul of a crack whore? The only thing it got right was having ninjas in it.

splinter cell and assassin's creed win it for me... creed's good but the combat is so easy it get tedious just countering every attack of the opponents...

Fallout 3 does stealth well, but it is by no means mandatory.
