I own 2, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

I fucking hate Mariokart.

I'd sooner play the lastest Midnight Club rip-off then that shit.

This makes me sad, the list is mediocrity up and down the board. Minus CoD 4 that was the only CoD I liked.

Also Wii Play doesn't suprise me as there was once a time where you could buy Wii Play and get the Wii-Mote, sell the pair seperate and make a profit!

Hmmm, well we're talking about numbers and don't forget this is indicative of the mainstream. The only title on that list that I own is San Andreas I believe.

As far as the Wii titles and such, well consider that the current console generation has more people interested in gaming than ever before. The Wii has outsold other consoles, so thus it's most popular titles are moving more units.

For the love of god WHY is wii play still considered a game? NO-one except a few casual players gives a shit about that game, 99% of people only even have a copy of that game because it basically came free with a remote myself included, hell I haven't even played it yet.

I only bought it so I could get the free remote as well. It was $5 more expensive than the remote alone.

So where's the list for PC games?

The top sellers really aren't a surprise. I'm sure activision and Nintendo are swimming in money right now.

My spell checker decided Nintendo is to be capitalized, and activision isn't even a word. I find that humorous.

The biggest surprise is the collection of old-school arcade games like Pac-Man and Dig Dug that make up Namco Museum, which must have quietly sold a crapload of copies. It's unclear whether NPD included every different volume of Namco Museum, but since the list specifically mentions every console, then I assume that is the case. Personally, I think that's grounds for dismissal, counselor.
Why would that dismiss it as a valid bestseller? If anything it's just clever marketing. At least when they sell you the same game twice, they're honest about it. (I'm looking at you, Nintendo)

I have to agree with you that Wii Play doesn't need to be there, though. It'd be like saying Minesweeper is the most popular PC game of all time because every PC comes with it already installed.

San ANdreas isn't that suprising, neither is Wii play, If you buy it in the Wiimote package, it's effectively like 10 bucks.

I own only one of those games, and it is Modern Warfare 2. Now I feel dirty for helping support a piss-poor game onto a top-10-of-all-time list =/

I should stop watching so much Law and Order.
NNNOOOO, Law and Order is awesome! Even without the original detectives (RIP Jerry Orbach), the new guys are pretty good.
You know what surprised me? How much better Law and Order UK is than the original.

Also, that list is not "all time", it's from 95 onwards. Why would you call that "all time"?
Indeedie, Law and Order UK is quite good. I don't think it was hugely better than the original, partly because its harder to take my own country's legal profession seriously ;)
