native language means the one you were brought up with? If so, I'd trade my Gaelic(second language of my father) which I'm not to good in anyway, with Japanese.
isn't it the language of the place you live?
I was brought up speaking English German and Gaelic , and have lived both in Scotland and Germany for equal periods.which would you say was my Native tongue?
Well, where were you born?

You might be bilingual. Or trilingual.

Ill trade my native language for Druidic.

Why? Because it is awesome, and if i try to teach it to someone who is not a druid i will die!
(If i remember the D&D rules correctly).

or then again, most likely ill just keep my original one.

Either Polish or Finnish. My family is Polish, my girlfriend is Finnish...but I already am fluent in Polish...but it's not my native language...so technically I would have both Polish AND Finnish...so...fuck this is confusing.

No, because sans Swedish I wouldn't be able to speak to my mom. Or read Strindberg and Tove Jansson.

Nah. Almost any language is easier to learn than English and most are not as useful. Maybe Chinese, but my particular scholarly interests would require a knowledge of english and my failure at languages in general would prevent me from unlearning it because it would be so hard to relearn.
This is so not true

English is actually THE easiest language to learn (There's been research on that)

Anyway Dutch for spanish (See I would be able to keep english as Both were learned through the same manner)
I highly doubt that butt-fucked lingual combination of Germanic roots, Latin, French and whatever else we could throw together is significantly easier to learn than, say, Spanish that has had relatively little non-Latin originated phrases thrown in over the course of centuries.
Ehm it's seriously a researched fact that english is the easiest language to learn
That's why so many people know the language
If Spanish would have been so much easier to learn that would have probably been the language we'd be typing in right now
I say that we are all typing in English now because America is a freaking super power and the creator of the internet. And I don't necessarily not believe that, I'm just going to say, "Source?"
