Color me interested. Why? I AM CONFUSED AS FUCK. What is the point of that trailer exactly. The only thing I know about the game is that its set in America 2049 and you get that from the name of the freaking game. All it did was give a bit of backstory to what is going on and that was it. They have one guy telling you to go kill the DWF and then another that basically says you are part of the DWF. Are they going to have a split story where you play as the DWF and where you try and take it down?

It's already been mentioned, but I definitely got a C&C vibe off that video, so going with RTS.

For the people throwing around RTS and FPS influences for this, it says "RPG" in the video description. It really doesn't mean much at this point, but its the only clue we have.

I did a Google search for "America 2049" and found pretty much nothing. Just a link to this video, a few topics on political/conspiracy forums that had nothing to do with this game, and the official website, which has nothing on it but a countdown timer that reads "27 days, 2 hours, 59 minutes, 36 seconds" as I write this.

I don't know what will happen when the big suspenseful countdown clock with hit zero. Considering there's only a teaser with no gameplay footage and absolutely no more information about it at this point, I'd imaging that that will be the date of an official announcement/detailed info dump of the game.

Or they'll jump the gun and release it on that date, only giving out preliminary information to people who sign up for their e-mailing list.

Kudos to them for an original marketing ploy, and it seems to be working.

I won't be surprised if this is how new games will be introduced to the public from now on.

I know what it is! It's not really a game, they're going to create the senario in the "game" for real and we're all gonna be "playing" just by trying to stay alive! When the countdown timer reaches Zero, all heck will break loose and we will be "roleplaying" for the rest of our lives! The graphics are going to be amazing, sound quality too! Pretty bad DRM though, you have to connected to life in order to play this game. I hear there's only one save and it's autosave as well.

Seriously speaking, I have no idea what the trailer is about. It's got me intrigued, but it's a bit late to start the viral marketing. I mean, Cloverfield started like a year or so beforehand, and gave people clues and stuff to find. The countdown timers and stuff like that just give the game a feeling of being a goal no one can reach.

Also, sorry Michael from Lost, no matter what your accent, you will always be Michael from Lost.

That has a distinct C&C vibe to it. It was like I travelled back in time (and I mean that in a good way I guess).

Little late.

1984 was 65 years before this.

But it still brings back memories.

Interested... But no proper clues? Come onnnnnnn.
In my opinion, this is how a good trailer looks. It doesn't give a lot away, but there's enough to get us interested.

That's why it's called a teaser.

Somewhat intrigued - I will be looking for more details about this as they become available.
