Transmedia game...that stirs a few memories, I heard about a game a while back that had you playing a reporter in africa. Mainly it had to do with working around the factions and getting information to do stories on a war, lots of conversation and negotiation, chosing who to side with, who to talk to, that kinda thing. This might be something in line with those, it kind of explains why it's all short vid clips of actors, maybe it has an 'interview' dynamic. Chose how you report things to affect the game, stir a rebellion, support the government, that kind of thing. Fight the war without the CoD shooting or Total War commanding.

Hmm...and if it isn't, that actually does sound like a half decent game concept...
