Is anyone else fed up with levelling in FPSs? Whatever happened to the good old days of having all weapons on day 1?

I will say I loved the MP of the bug-ridden demo more then I loved the best COD MP. Why?
Because the way people traveled around the level was dynamic! You could grab ledges, jump on top of buildings, and actually move around the level, rather then just through it. If I look down an alley in COD, I know that they can only come down that alley. In Crysis 2, they can leap up on top of the building, run above me, drop down behind me, and snap my neck. That is way more interesting.
That's very good to hear, I've been waiting for a more dynamic multiplayer shooter for a while now.

I'm just worried about my computer. They better release a PC demo.

I can sum it up faster: Call of Halo.

Reach's armor ability with Call of Duty style gameplay.
Be it not that the nanosuit options seem to be way more extensive than Reach's armour abilities. Plus you can pick things on the fly while playing; activate stealth, armour, etc.

Is it just me or does the narrator in the video sound wholly uninterested in what he is talking about?

From what I've played it works and I last longer than in CoD, but at the same time the game seems to want to throw so many GFX at me and really makes seeing things hard (OMG GLARE + MOTION BLUR = Falling off a building)

It's gonna have hell with balance.

Mark my words. There are WAY too many variables and there's no doubt in my mind that one play style will be pushed completely out of viability.

Also if crysis wars is any indication, the suit is way too confusing to manipulate in the battlefield, most people just strapped on Armour and never switched.

Barney Stinson: Nanosuit up!

Seriously though, they mention the suit so often its ridiculous. The game should be fun from the looks of it, I just wonder if somewhere in that pile of upgrades is a setup that is basically god mode without invincibility and no clip. That would be like the M60 + reflex + magnum of Bad Company 2.

Still, hope it turns out OK.

Looks kinda interesting. But I don't intend on getting the game.
That invisibility thing looks very cheap.

Agree'd, atleast in Crysis wars there were game modes where you had to find and pick up the weapons old school style or cap objectives and whatnot to buy whichever weapon you could afford at the base, all in-game.

Sure if there were classes with all the different weapons then fine, but if you have to start unlocking stuff here too? Meeeeeh.

Anyway, it's said that there'll be a PC demo before launch (then again some shmucks pirated the whole thing already)

Why do the graphics look worse than Crysis 1? And why is the gameplay leaning heavily towards the same-old - same-old shooter template that's been thrown around harder than everyone in this thread's mother?

I like the variety of upgrades available. People who complain about balance might be serious competitive types, I personally enjoy a lot of mixing it up.

The last game I played which put any serious amount of work into "balancing the gameplay" in PvP was Guild Wars, and in my opinion it made it a much drier game to play. Builds adapted and changed, yes... but it was as though fun took second place to "fairness".

Games should be fun, so yes, allow me to have epic rapid fire stuff for playing a proper full length game's worth of multiplayer. It's at least one reason to do more than pick it up then put it down again, and that's something Crytek has often neglected in its multiplayer modes.

O look its Halo meets Call of Duty...
You say that like it's a bad thing

I'm interested in the game, it looks fun and varied, but i'll wait for reviews before spending my cash.

Im sure IGN and gamespot will chew it up simply because its not "call of duty"
