Hmmm...
In Perfect Dark (for the N64, not the terrible remake), your starting weapon was the Falcon 2. Basicly a 1911 with a laser sight you could use and a silver finish. Maybe Duke's 1911 is a reference to that? Had that one bugging me ever since I saw the gun.

Yeah, there was a bit of crude humor mixed in there, but it was secondary to "Hey, you get to run around all shrunken, and we actually did some level design based on that mechanic."

Oh Duke.
I gotta admit, I'm getting a little excited for this game. I don't usually get hyped for games, and it's already been a great year with Crysis 2, Portal 2 and M&B With Fire And Sword. But this was hilarious and something different. And now I want to play it. Quite a bit.

Gearbox was the right team to do it. I think it'll end up better than its predecessors.
