I have to say these are some of the best trailers and ad campaign that I have seen in awhile. I was already interested in Portal 2 to begin with, but now I'm even more excited. It is a rare case when I want to watch what is basically a commercial repeatedly because I am excited about the game and because they are genuinely funny. Way to go Valve!

Seriously it's unbelievable, they have the best ads in the entire industry, and they do it without paying through the nose for an advertising firm, why the fuck do companies even use advertising firms anyway!?

Yeah, a lot of companies could take a leaf out of Valve's book. I suppose Valve are so successful because they know how to approach it, whereas a lot of companies rely on advertising companies because they don't have the marketing skills or know-how to do it.

Update: It turns out dougtato is a name from the Steam forums and is directly related to the ARG. This probably has something to do with the Potato mods.
