Thoughts on the Thor trailer: Thor? Kicking ass? Yes, yes, yes!

Thoughts on the Transformers 3 trailer: Shia LeBouf and ugly, shaky-cam explosion-fests with the robots made into a B-plot in their own movie? No, no, no!

Thoughts on the Captain America trailer: Captain America? And it's done to look not only competently but awesome? And the Red Skull looks intimidating?! YES, YES, YES!!

Thoughts on the Pirates of the Carribean 4 trailer: Who does Geoffery Rush have to kill to get a Best Supporting Oscar for this? I know he's got one, but he just makes Barbossa so interesting and he's really good in the role.

What really would've capped it off would have been a Green Lantern trailer.

I missed the Superbowl entirely. It's just that I don't really care about football. Any other good commercials?

Will probably go to see Transformers 3 to see if Michael Bay can redeem himself from the second one (I really enjoyed the first).

Captain America...yes. I want to see that movie. I want to see that movie a lot.

I have to admit the Transformer 3 trailer got me excited if it weren't for that horrible noises. My money will be spent toward the Captain America and Thor film.

Ah Hollywood at it's very finest, a bucket load of spoon deep films with lots of flash.
I would sure like to have your precognitive abilities, seeing as how the purpose of a 30 second TV spot is to hook the audience with the absolute barest of premises, and you can't possibly tell how the actual film will play out in any way, shape, or form.

Try making Citizen Kane or Blade Runner any more meaningful than these trailers with only 30 seconds worth or randomly spliced together footage, then get back to me.

I like how Captain America goes from scrawny to jacked in about a second (in the trailer, at least). I hope they pumped him full of nutrients as well, because if he didn't eat right away, he'd lose all of that muscle.

I'm really looking forward to Captain America, I just find it ridiculous that people are leaving comments on that trailer(on youtube) saying the movie is going to suck simply because Disney owns Marvel. And they're complaining about the fact that his costume looks cheesy on film, when it looks just as cheesy in the comics. I love Captain America, but people need to realize that there will always be a small level of silliness to comic book characters that you can't shake off regardless how gritty and realistic you make the movie.

Red Skull looks awesome by the way.

Missed the Captain America movie. Looks interesting. As for Transformers... well I've had enough of those damn movies.

"Dark of the Moon?"
Is that really the best title they could come up with?
What next, "Transformers 4: Shit Blows Up?"
I'm guessing they wanted to go with "Dark Side of the Moon", but thats been taken.

Holy shit... Red Skull looks 100% accurate to the source material.

Please let this movie be good, or I will be the reason the world ends in 2012 >:|

i'll probably see that then walk over to the transformers theater so i don't have to waste my money seeing if this one is any better.

i doubt it will be, but oh well...also whats with all this shaky camera complaints? are we not primarily gamers? i figured most of you would be used to that by now..i hardly even noticed it.

I'm ignoring transformers as long as Bay is behind the wheel (so to speak). With the first movie, Bay proved that he was making his vision of the name brand. With transformers 2, Bay proved that he was not listening to the geek community at all. I suspect, with Transformers 3, Bay will prove that the geek community, the ones that would be really excited for a Transformers movie, were never his target audience.

"Dark of the Moon" of the shitest title for a movie i have heard in a long while, then again Transformers is the shitest series of movies i have seen in a long long while. I have few words to express my distain for the films.

Cap looks ok though.
I'm banking that your right. See, with Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, I thought, "okay, the beaten Decepticons are the "fallen" guys, and they're getting their revenge." Straight forward stuff. Well, Bay wanted to go one step farther, and named a guy "The Fallen." And that guy was getting revenge. I facepalmed when I learned this. Sigh. Bay.

[Sarcasm]Wow, I'm impressed; for once it only took the second post for all the s***-Talking about the live-action transformers to begin.

Wow..

Just..

Wow..[/End Sarcasm}

To clarify, i am in no way a transformers fan; my only interest in THAT universe is the movies.

To the people complaining along the lines of "wah wah wah, i wasted my money on these crap movies, blah blah blah" if you don't like them, DON'T GO TO THEM; nobody's forcing you to watch the goddamn movies. And also; to the people who whinge about Michael Bay "raping your childhood" the only person who is raping your childhoods with the movies is you, so give it a rest and let the people who actually DON'T mind the movies enjoy them. I'll concede that the second movie could have been a bit better, but as i mentioned before; give it a rest, and let the rest of us enjoy it.

I haven't been on these forums for about roughly a year, and so if i get into trouble for this post, it doesn't really bother me much as you might think; i just thought i'd say my piece.

To get back on track with what the thread is about; they both look like great trailers, both look to be quite good movies for 2011

I'll definetly look at the Captain America movie (finally, a movie about him that won't suck!) and possibly the one for Thor.

I'll have to pass on Transformers 3 though, I didn't care for Transformers 2 (mainly because I can never forgive them for cutting Transformers: Animated short just so they could sell the movie toys).

And, "Dark of the Moon"? Really? Sounds more like an album cover if you ask me.

I'm super excited to see Transformers 3. I loved the first one, and the second one did have its moments, and it looks action packed so yeah, can't wait! The title I guess sounds a bit wierd, but certain video games have titles that are pretty wierd (Looks over at the Kingdom Hearts series...but hey, I love em!), so seeing that coming from a movie shouldn't really be a big deal.

Captain America looks...ok I guess. I mean, it looks cool, but I would have to see a longer trailer. However, I'm liking what I'm seeing. Costume looks great at least.

Thor huh? Well Thor is one of the Marvel characters I know almost nothing about backstory wise. I don't even really know what the villian for the movie is going to be(Loki I'm assuming?), but it doesn't look like a bad movie.

I'm probably going to see all 3 movies once they come out. I'm really interested in seeing how they do this Avenger movie once Thor and Cap are done, so I might as well see them. Transformers looks like its going to take place on an epic scale, so if anything, the action will be awesome!
