In some parts. On the Whole, it was just a boring cash-in on the name. In all honesty, I really wished they did the shot-for-shot remake instead. I might have invested more time watching it instead of doing my own riff-trax of the movie with my friends.
OT: I have not seen True Grit, but to be fair, I haven't really watched many Westerns, it's one of those genres that says so little to me. However, my father recently introduced me to
The Wild Bunch, which was EPIC, to say the least. I am slowly starting to get into western films, and hopefully I'll check out the original (and maybe read the book too) and the remake as well.
