Another thing they should do is kill all the fricking porn-bots. They always follow me and it's annoying.
Porn bots and advertising bots.
Those guys may not do much, but I'd rather not have them following me.
And it's slightly awkward when your parents see that Britney's little F-bots are following you...

It freaks me out a little that people set up these sort of fake accounts, almost like they're not happy with their lives...

Oh, wait.

So does that mean <url=http://twitter.com/god>God's going to get banned?
What part of that account _doesn't_ scream parody? And besides, Twitter asking God to prove that's Him invokes that whole "proof denies faith" debate, so, let's just not go there, m'kay?

I keep getting a new one of those on an hourly basis. It's driving me mad.

Also, don't they already have verified accounts?
For instance:
http://twitter.com/STEPHENFRY
The sign on the top right of the page shows its really him.

What is with people and Twitter? I don't think the world cares if you say that mummy made you a sammich. Go do something more productive, like play video games.

Now why would anyone even do that? Unless it was some fool that's trying to piss off all of the religious types then its just really weird.

Gah fuck i was gunna be megan fox just to see what kinds of people would actually follow her.

Though in all seriousness people who pretend to be celebrities are the worst kind of people they must have even less of a life than those idiots who talk about them all day, oh by the way this news post reminded of a show called the next best thing i saw the other day which i have been furiously trying to scrub out of my mind >_>.

Damn, there goes my dream of being a Bobby Kotick impersonator...
What would you do? It's not as if his reputation could be ruined any further unless you twitter'd about him saving kittens and helping old ladies across the street.
Thats the key, isn't it?

Just like the article says...a person is allowed to "parody", but not impersonate a celebrity...

(Expect to see updates soon where parody Kotick will pass out much needed supplies to kids in third world countries. It'll be after the one where he volunteers as a seeing eye for a blind woman for a whole week...)

No responses from Nigerian Government, yet?
No, not yet. But give them time, they'll find a way to get offended from this news yet.

Also, love the avatar.
