One question, for the record. Why is it that video games have draconian DRM like this, even when it's been proven to be useless, while every other entertainment medium doesn't bother with it? There's no DRM on DVDs or Blu-Ray, nor on music CDs or music downloads. Yet they have even worse piracy rates than games. So why do gamers lose out or get stepped on by DRM and the other media don't?
Yes, I do realise there are things like copy protection and stuff on other forms of media, before anyone calls me out on it. But they have nothing like the sort of thing used to stop video game piracy...
