Wow, that's one hell of a massive screw up.

At least we're not Ubisoft.
I wouldn't go that far. Most Publishers are shit by they'd have to sink pretty low to even see EA through a glass bottom boat.

Small flaw in your hypothesis... Ubisoft are French.

The ToR-tanic?
I am so stealing that.

The Tortanic, how EA sank more than half a billion dollars!
Oh no, TORtainc has been around since before the games release.

I'm guessing Uplay is still on the fritz?

You know it seems that every time I start to think that maybe I should give Uplay a fair chance, something like this gets reported and I remember why I don't buy Ubisoft games no matter how good they are. Poor service like this is simply inexcusable and especially given that Uplay is getting a bit of a long track record for this type of thing now.

That's funny. I thought this thread was going to be about one of their other fuck-ups, I.E. "A-LA-South Park's release and potential existence of the game", or "Assassin's Creed 4: the sickeningly over-milked", or even "Splintercell: Sam's getting too old for this shit".

I agree with Jim Sterling's sentiment that we should just stop calling Ubisoft a PC publisher. They clearly don't get it and they clearly don't care. People should just not bother with them on PC.

Don't you mean "Splinter Cell: Sam's getting anachronistically younger for this shit"?

What a surprise, DRM hurting all the honest consumer's who decided to buy your game. Well done Ubi.

Why are we still getting online DRM pushed down our throats when it only leads to disaster? Even EA admitted it didn't work (and then pretended that their DRM wasn't DRM but... some other undefined thing that totally makes it all ok.) Oh well, we'll just have to wait for the next big disaster in about 6 months when they try this crap again.

The thing that kills me about that is that people were making the claim about EA being terrible in spite of a long history of moves like this from other people. The boot to the neck Draconian DRM award clearly goes to Ubisoft along with a handful of other outright consumer hostile moves.

Well I saw the thread title and thought it will be something to do with Uplay. That 'service' is a piece of shite. Not quite sure why Ubi haven't ditched it yet, or why they bothered with it in the first place. Stupid, stupid, stupid...
