AC used to be an interesting IP from the first to Brotherhood, now it's just gone downhill from 3 and beyond turning it into a factory IP like CoD and Battlefield are now.

Personally I don't mind, I have liked the games from the beginning and still like them now, though when the sales drop this will stop so enough people for now seem to like it.

If Call of Duty can do it, why can't Assassin's Creed?

Um, because nearly everyone who gets CoD is after the multiplayer?

You can't really compare the two games like that, especially with the AC selling itself on its story rather than killstreaks.
