And the Move's launch titles are just as bad, and just as lacking in imagination, in my opinion. Don't judge any of the peripherals by their launch titles. Wait til people actually start putting out more than proof-of-concept games.Andronicus said:Overpriced, irrelevant in my household, and, quite frankly, the launch line-up is, not to put too fine a point on it, fucking atrocious.

The only one that looks even remotely interesting to me is the Adrenaline Misfits thing, but then again, with the terrible saturation of fitness "games" and minigame compilations, that really doesn't say a lot. Where's the imagination?
Some of us embrace change, quite honestly I've been gaming for 30 some years and the industry has been stagnant for so very long and actually moving backwards to me.SonicWaffle said:What is Kinect's power? Well not really, I mean they might not be all at lanuch but you got games like:Midnight0000 said:And the Move's launch titles are just as bad, and just as lacking in imagination, in my opinion. There is a difference between change that will have a positive effect on the industry, and change for the sake of change. The Wii had a positive effect, in that it made gaming more aminstream and is bringing more people into the world of console gaming, not to mention that it made a fuckload of money. The Move and Kinect are changes for the sake of change - they saw how well the Wii did and are attempting to ape it's success. The problem is that the Wii caters to a specific market, leaving the 360 and the PS3 to fight over the "hardcore" gamers' money.tehroc said:Some of us embrace change, quite honestly I've been gaming for 30 some years and the industry has been stagnant for so very long and actually moving backwards to me.
Exactly.. they're not all launch games, and some of those are just adding the Move support rather than being designed specifically *FOR* it. I think that if we wait until this time next year, both Move and Kinect will have some good original titles for each. Right now, they're both out to just prove that the new tech works and all... I enjoyed my playtime with the Move but it felt a little too much like Wiimotes for my liking. I'm getting a Kinect almost entirely for the things other than the launch titles.Korten12 said:Well not really, I mean they might not be all at lanuch but you got games like:Midnight0000 said:And the Move's launch titles are just as bad, and just as lacking in imagination, in my opinion. Ok... i see like a million things with this statementLogan Westbrook said:Ubisoft's North American boss Laurent Detoc sees big things in the future for Kinect, saying it will be a "must-have" brand, like the iPad.

Too bad for Laurent Detoc that the iPad isn't a must have brand. Most people see it for the overpriced piece of crap that it is and don't buy one.Logan Westbrook said:Ubisoft's North American boss Laurent Detoc sees big things in the future for Kinect, saying it will be a "must-have" brand, like the iPad.
Yes, I'm aware that legions of Apple fans who will buy anything shiny as long as it's made by Apple bought one. Hardly makes it a must have brand, though. I wonder how sales are doing now that all the Apple horde has one and nobody else wants one... Funny how Apple never mentions that.Logan Westbrook said:You folks are aware that the iPad sold 3 million units in two and a half months, right? That's a remarkably successful hardware launch.
Well I'll be buying it for my wife, who isn't a big gamer, as well as my nieces and nephews and future kids. That's why I'm buying it, and that's what Microsoft is pushing. If you consider that there are over 30 million Xbox owners, how many have spouses, siblings, friends, children, and family who aren't big into games, or who don't want the 'hardcore' titles? I'd bet more then 50%. My wife is interested in playing it, so is my family, and it'll be perfect for our non-gamer friends too when they come over.stinkychops said:Seriously, why? Why would you want this?

Wouldn't it be allot better just buying a Wii? You'd get it cheaper too.Baby Tea said:Well I'll be buying it for my wife, who isn't a big gamer, as well as my nieces and nephews and future kids.
