ok im not going to get into details with this cause it's over done,this is my only racism thread

If racism threads are overdone, then what did you think you were adding to the community by making a topic you knew had nothing to offer? And what do you mean, your "only racism thread"? Are you trying to imply that everyone else has made several threads exactly like this?

The colour of a persons skin, what religion that person is, the way they look, where they're from etc - none of that makes a person bad. It's just the person being a total dick that makes that person bad.

Racism sucks.

That being said, I think sometimes the media makes it hard for people not to have stereotypical views of people because of where they're from.

I think that while it IS bad, using all of these euphemisms to describe every situation that involves a minority pisses me off.

Furthermore I hate when people get offended at being called black as a race and demand to be called 'African American' which isn't even a race. It is a nationality.

I think that the only way racism will go away is when these pansies stop crying over every politically incorrect term used on them. Its only a phrase. YOU'RE the ones who turned it into an insult.

Racism exists. Many people make big or small assumptions based on race. It happens. The world is a big and confusing place and if being racist makes it slightly easier to understand (and, unfortunately, in many ways it does), then it will come into play.

Is what I find incredibly disgusting, however, is when racism is used politically. When a white person gets a job he is more qualified for and denounced because black people also applied. Or when this very kind of fear causes the very job promotion to suddenly vanish because a minority didn't make the cut. (Sorry, I suck when it comes to finding old news stories, otherwise I provide the relevant link). People are trying so hard to not be racist that they latch onto minorities for the sole purpose of trying to look "progressive". They're all a bunch of posers. Minorities should be able to stand on their own feet and not be propped up because some white guy is trying to look good. Or, conversely, a minority should not use racism as an excuse for his own poor performance.

so heres the simple question, whats your view on racism?

I don't think the question is: "Is racism bad" the question is "what is racism", when people call something racist when it actually features minorities in it, that itself is racist.

Example:

and Left 4 Dead 2 and Resident Evil 5 (well, for Resident evil 5 the towns were not racist, but the stereotypical tribal sections, yeah, they were pretty bad) were not.

everyone is inherantly the exact same, it doesnt matter what colour you are youre still basically a bag of warm fluids. people can say whatever the hell they want about a particular person from whatever background they want, as far as im concerned, as long as they dont genuinely believe there is something about their own biological makeup which makes them any bit different/superior; i find that line of thought to be generally conceited and horribly mistaken.
