Uncharted 3's Deceit Exposed on Amazon France

Joy. Let me take a guess at the plot: Nathan Drake sets off on an adventure to find some treasure. But it turns out the treasure isn't a treasure at all but something very bad if it were to be unleashed on the rest of the world. So now he has to stop the bad guys who want to unleash it and stop it from being found again. Then throw in some bad multiplayer just like Uncharted 2 did and call it a night.

Of course I'm sure the single player will be just fine, but I'm also sure that I'll have played the same thing twice already.

In this installment Nathen Drake follows the adventures of Pons de Lion in his search for the fabled fountain of youth. His journey will eventually take him to the lost city of Atlantis where Naughty Dog can show off to full ability how awesome they are at making water. You heard it here first boys and girls.

Can't help but wonder what the talent behind this series could be creating instead of shoveling out the same game every few years.

Keep in mind that Drake's at least entertaining and usually voices precisely what's on the player's mind.

Example: I was about to get strafed by a helicopter and, on queue, he spouts off "Oh, Jesus Christ!? What did I do to deserve this?" while I was thinking something similar.

OK, technically three games now, but the point still stands. Three is not that much. At all. Especially considering the only two (official) games have been amazing. Which brings me to the obvious question: Have you actually played either of the 2 Uncharted games?

Wow, creepy. I was just checking Uncharted on Wikipedia this morning to see if there was any new info on 3 and saw the new supposed subtitle there, but I didn't think to check when it had been rumoured. Funny it should suddenly turn up on the Escapist.

But yeah, I agree, the subtitle itself isn't particularly spectacular.

I remember Red Steel 2 was available for pre-order on play.com about a year before they officially announced it.

Would be kind of cool if it got announced within the next week.

Considering it hasn't even been announced yet, I would wager sometime in 2012. I mean, hell, Bioshock Infinite is already announced and we won't see that til 2012. Considering the Uncharted games are polished to an almost mirror sheen upon release, I'm guessing 2012.

EDIT: OT: I am really excited for this game. Drake's Fortune was awesome, Among Thieves was phenomenal.

I'm excited about Uncharted 3 but at the same time, dissapointed Naughty Dog aren't working on a PS3 Jak & Daxter.
