Well, I guess I'll set up my own list in order of genre:
RPG:
Odin Sphere (More like action RPG but still...)
Legend of Legaia & Legaia 2
The Legend of Dragoon (Damn FF7 overshadowing this gem)
Wild Arms 1 thru 3 (This was back when the series was still had a Old West style feel to it instead of your cliched Techno-Magical anime world. Well, less of a Techno-Magical anime world then Wild Arms 4)
Parasite Eve
Final Fantasy Tactics (When it first came out for the PSX and no one really got the battle system. Nowadays everyone knows this style of gameplay from games like Disgaia, FFT Advanced and most Ninpon Ichi games.)
Action-Adventure/Platformer:
Act Raiser (A God-Game before they became popular!)
Run Saber
Beyond Oasis (Damn I'm going old school here)

around the same time there was a game called Fragile Alliance, at least 10 years old now.
It involved mining astroids for minerals that you would sell to StarCorp. or something, and in return you would buy upgrades for your fleet and colony. The game started with you owning a small outpost where you made a budget, hired officers and agents, investing in the stock market, mined a crazy amount of minerals, built a fleet, launched missle strikes, launched spy satelites , colonized more astroids, waged covert or overt warfare with the dozen or so other alien species, and so on.
It was the best game I ever played and the graphics are pretty sweet, especially during the fleet battles or outpost attacks.

Besides the obvious choices Psychonauts and Beyond good and evil,
I'd have to say that Dark Messiah of Might and Magic got less attention than it deserved, sure it was a little buggy and needed one or two "extra polishes" but it was still a great game. Had the developers worked on it a month or two more, it'd probably been one of the better games ever (Imo). I practically know the entire game inside out, and have probably played through it more times than whats good for me...
And, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines also felt unfinished an buggy but I still really enjoyed it and felt like it deserved more attention than it got. I've played through that one at least 4-5 times.

Luckly, a number of fans felt the same way and decided on making their own patches for the game, bringing out pulled cut-scenes, cleaning up movement in said cut-scenes, updating graphics, making damage, magic and armor more accurate and everything.Skalman said:

Seriously. If you enjoy grinding, leveling, questing, randomly build dungeons and party management then give it a chance. Also, playing in a world only populated by pokemons that act like normal persons (gesture, speak, free living, not redarded like in the cartoons) including a "what pokemon are you" quiz is insanely cute. The story is very good, not childish and goes over 40 hours. If you want to catch all 490 in the game and build up a kick ass party, add another 100 hours.
I like that. Always did. Also in Diablo2 and similar games.
They give the game reviews about 60% and yes you can easily point at it and say its repatitive and technicly below the DS standarts.
But I love it.
Realisticly maybe only 1 of 10 gamers out there might be able to enjoy that kind of game design, but if they do, they should really try it.

Also, playing in a world only populated by pokemons that act like normal persons (gesture, speak, free living, not redarded like in the cartoons) including a "what pokemon are you" quiz is insanely cute. That is the greatest Sega Genesis game in existence. Heck, it may be the greatest game in existence period.
At a glance, it is just like every other brawler on the Genesis, side scrolling, enemy waves, environmental traps, etc. But there are a few key differences: for one, you are giant robots (or maybe normal sized robots, you never really know). You custom design your robot from the start with a variety of torsos, arms and legs, each granting the cyborg a different special ability. These range from different attacks to being able to jump incredibly high. Secondly, you can dismember and tear apart the enemy robots at a whim, and have the option of taking their parts and using them instead of your current setup. Want those heavy legs on that guy? Rip them off and stick them on yourself. In need of some health? Rip that guy apart and absorb his torso. Good times. Thirdly, it's called CYBORG JUSTICE! I mean, come on! Try to think of a game with a more awesome name than that.

The game can be played with two people (obviously, its a brawler on the Genesis) and can provide some great hilarity if played past 2 in the morning.

My freinds a gaming nerd and he doesn't know about Ico, He has like two freinds and a brother and i'm one of them.. I have 3 freinds that I know greatly who each have big familys where I only like one of the brothers..My problems are besides the point though.Copter400 said:

Predicatble anime plotline aside, I love this game. Genuinely funny dialouge mixed with classic RPG elements mixed with ... Vodka. I can't justify my love for this game but it is very, very good.
