What is that I don't even....

'Look at you wearing no makeup and eating a steak for lunch'

FOR SHAME.

Somehow the monotone voice acting just makes it worse.

I'd say Magicka, It's an awesome game with an amazing control system it should get alot more attention than it does.

It's awesome, huh! XP

Off-topic: how come you're Jessica in the forum, but your name is Charlie? Just curious. I'm weird like that, lol.

It's my baby neice's name I couldn't think of anything lol. Pretty lame username I know.

That is super cute ^^

I've always liked Charlie for a name. Something really unique about it. Makes me think of that girl who everyone likes and secretly has a crush on at school, lol.

[sup]Don't ask why - I have no idea XD[/sup]

Metro 2033. One of the few games to be based off a novel (a Russian one at that) and developed by a Ukrainian company, 4A games. It had fantastic atmosphere and a good use of HUD. Unfortunately it came out at around the same time as Mass Effect 2, so got pushed under the carpet.
Yeah I agree, that game was amazing, and I can't wait for Last Light to come out, because I will be getting that as well.

Also, the game Turok was really good, it was one of the first games I got for the Xbox 360, and the online was alright as well. The trouble was on one played it... and the game wasn't as popular ass I thought it should be.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. One of the few star wars games that don't revolve around Jedi and Sith, instead, it's about the Bounty Hunters and their 'hunt'. I swear that game was underrated, it deserved much more praise.
Agree it was a pretty fun game, the checkpoints wernt always perfect but it was cool flying around in a jetpack and capturing bounties.

Time for my obligatory mention of Outcast which i do any chance i get:

Also one i recently found out about, Blade Runner... the game! And its actually good!

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks!

Honestly, its sooo much fun Co-op! Really under rated, its adventure game not a fighting game.

easy king kong the game was a master peice which combined survival lwvwls playing as a human and funny destruction levels playing as kong easily one the best games i have ever played and it's really really pretty came out during the 360 early days.

Ninety nine nights a fun game where you play through 7 story modes in massive deatalied environments which are jaw droppingly pretty and the combat is well awesome and did i mention the graphics.
well anyway each character has their own unique combat style and it's incedibly immersive and has a well told story

Call Of Cthulhu: Dark Corners Of The Earth

The game had its flaws but as a fan of the lovecraftian tales I could not pass this up and I thought it was an absolute underated gem.

Voodoo Vince

Fun platformer with its own sense of humor. It made me sad when Beep Industries went under. Probably one of the best platformers that came out for the original xbox (it's not backwards compatible.)

Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay

I thought this was going to be a horrible game because well... being a licensed game and based off a character from a couple of movies it didn't seem to have a chance. Instead I got surprised with a really tight, immersive game that kept me hooked all the way through. Also had to be some of the best hand to hand fighting in any FPS, plus the special kills were such a guilty pleasure.

Freedom Force / Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich

Alright, I admit I'm not sure how popular or even if these games are ignored/underrated but whats not to love about a tactical RPG based on comic archetypes while also having a very diverse system to create your own superheros.

Metro 2033

Awesome and atmospheric. One of the best FPS games I have played in a long time.

I think Nier is fantastic...and I'm only 4 hours in.
Same here. I only just started playing it a few days ago, and I already love Weiss.

*Ahem* er, I mean Grimoire Weiss.

LOL sorry for jumping in like this but how's the combat in Nier? I was considering buying it once but after I saw the chick (or guy....according to the japanese version) wearing a thong, and negligee I kinda wrote it off as a game just trying to grab attention with bouncy boobs.

However I came across it again and now I'm tempted to get it. Is it actually good, story and combat wise?
I have an odd opinion of Nier, I found the game either so bad it is good or an awesome parody/satire of video games. The gameplay has a lot of flaws but because the characters themselves acknowledge some of them and how the overall story totally deconstructs the normal JRPG narrative I think that maybe all the problems with the game were on purpose. I wonder if the woman (or man) who swears and dresses in little is also a parody of the over sexualizing and other aspects of f woman in video games as well.

I think Alpha protocol was a great game with how its choices had a large effect on who lives and dies and how the story goes along. I even found the gameplay to not be that horrible. Just remember it is an old skool rpg mechanics not about letting you be whatever you want but having to level up properly to fight bosses. I enjoyed it also because it reminded me of Deus Ex in some ways.

The Darkness is about at "cult classic" popularity, right? If it's not a famous game: The Darkness! The actual gameplay is sort of repetitive, but the powers are cool and the story, characters, and music make up for its flaws.
one thing tunred me off of the darkness and that is that you can mess up the story and have no way to continue the devs must have been huffing extra hard when they decided to not even put in a failsafe or even just block guns during that part og the game
What, really? Can you shoot Jenny during her little birthday surprise or something? Ha, that's kind of funny. I wouldn't dismiss a game because it lets you do something like that, but I wouldn't blame you if you decided to stop playing because the combat lacks variety, since it consists of destroying lights and killing the same type of enemy pretty much through the whole game.
realy early on when you have to go to the avidence locker and the guy at the door starts talking to you i capped his little ass and found out that i was buggered if i wanted to play the game
I don't remember the part you're talking about, and I don't understand why you wouldn't just load and not shoot the guy.
because it saved and i couldnt go back thats what made me stop playing

Anybody who has a decent taste in 3rd person shooters will agree with me when I say Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. The only reason that game didn't sell very well is due to the fact Halo: Combat Evolved stole all of it's thunder.

If Swingin' Ape studios were to be reformed under a new name, or perhaps with the permission of the original IP creator, that game would sell very fast, and very well. I'll admit I owned the Gamecube version, so I am not sure if there was any online multiplayer component to the PS2 or the Xbox version.

However, an HD remake could bring the possibility of a completely redone multiplayer mode, while still remaining true to the original playstyle that made the game so much fun for me. The soundtrack was kickass as well.

I mean, just listen to this:

Here is also a trailer for the game towards the time of its release date:

Seriously. I want to see this game brought back. Either a sequel or an HD remake, I don't care. It is a gem of the last generation, and a damn shame that it sank into the muck of forgotten memory. Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is something that the gaming world needs at this point. Too many gritty shooters and realism flooding the market.

Bring back Glitch I say!!

The Void! One of the deepest and most unique games I've ever played.

Also one of the hardest and most beautiful.

i havent found a game since this can make me quiver such at this one did
shame the storyline gamkeplay charecters and monster desing are total shit
Relating to the second part of your post here, the three games that Frictional Games have made: Penumbra: Overture, Penumbra: Black Plague, (4 if you count Penumbra: Requiem, but it didn't have any monsters from what I remember), and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. They are all terribly underrated despite being some of the creepiest and most immersive survival-horror games you'll ever find.
Well, I think they're underrated at least. I don't know official sale numbers or anything.
