Underused game weapons.

Missile launchers are underused. There is that one part of the game where you blow something up with it or shoot down some helicopters or tanks, but the majority of the game is spent with other weapons. I usually keep it around and blow anybody up that I can't get out of the way within 15 seconds.

One example is the plasma pistol.(halo3 and reach)

It disables shields leaving your opponent vulnerable so you can easily kill them with your other weapon.
I use it all the time to get easy kills but I always see discarded or unused plasma pistols littering the ground and I happily pick them up.

This is just what I was going to say. Not only does it completely down shields, but I'm pretty sure it has a higher dps than an assault rifle if fired as fast as possible. It also has no recoil.

The lava gun from, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando. I never once used that stupid weapon. I always used it wrong for one reason or another.

In mw2 no one uses the vector when they can cheaply use the UMP.

really? It's a great weapon for BC2, CoD, GTA4, Killing Floor, Splinter Cell, (in some places) S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and a couple of other games.

Also, you can turn the RPG or Gustav round into a Javelin missile launcher.
Doing THAT to a sniper is priceless...

It's a tie between the plasma pistol and grenade launcher from Halo Reach for me. Such easy kills and yet only a handful of people use them.

The only level I used that on was the one with the millions of blue hairy creatures. It was easy to fight them with it. Till it upgraded. Then it was useless.

But in Up Your Arsenal, it upgrades into a nitrogen freeze gun, and thats awesome

I just beat Reach on legendary yesterday, and this is the first time I have heard of the plasma pistol's shield disabling ability. It would have saved me about 10,000 DMR bullets.

Seriously, you completed it on Legendary WITHOUT the plasma pistol? Holy shit son you must have been frothing at the mouth by the end of that.

The Magnum in Halo Reach. I don't know if it's a reflex leftover from Halo 3 or if most players just don't like having to aim, but I almost never see other players using the Magnum. They usually stick with the Assault Rifle, which means, of course, when they run at me and start shooting, they're dead before they can get within melee-spam range.

I ambush people, so you wouldn't stand a chance, I'm usually in melee distance after about 2 seconds of you spotting me.

Fallout 3... I don't think I ever have used any of the melee weapons except for the Baseball Bat, Auto Axe, and the Chinese Officer's Sword.

Depends if I go InsaneBored I like to butcher people....like that time in Tenpenny Tower where I dragged the bodies to a bath tub....
