More Underworld? Eh, only movie series approaching decentcy these days, why not.
I mean 2 could have stood to be better, but 3 was pretty awesome, I just hope they don't screw this one up.

Wait, there was an Underworld 2? And an Underworld 3?

Seriously? When did they happen?
I've heard of 2, but never knew there was 3... Are these straight to video?
No they were in theatres, they just weren't advertised much.

But I can actively say this. "Finally! Vampires that kick ass and DON'T SPARKLE!". Granted, I like the Lycans as well. But I've liked vampires since I was 6 years old and just because they enslaved the Lycans (if no one even caught that in the first movie then you are living under a rock) doesn't make me stop liking them.

Liked the first movie a lot, but then it started going down hill (as it usually does with sequels).
I wouldn't even have known about the third movie if I didn't stumble across it on the internet one day, and I wouldn't even have watched it to the end if it wasn't an Underworld movie. I know, stupid reason, but I still wanted to know what started this war between the two races.

Not at all excited about the fourth movie, just going to have to wait and see. The bit about it being in 3D doesn't help either.

"Number 3" was actually a prequel. Rise of the Lychens or something
Yeah, It was all about the werewolf bloke that got merced in the first one. Which kinda made you realize why they were at war and that he wasn't a douchebag.[/quote]

except that the first movie did that and there was no need to make such a stupid film.

Underworld was good. Flawed, but good. The premise was somewhat novel and the characters, while not moldbreaking, were fairly memorable. And guns never needed to be reloaded.

The second film was not as good as the first, negated some of the original premise with a bit of soggy retcon, and the villain was laughable. Still, it was watchable, despite having my hated physics issues of one character pulling a helicopter from the sky. Seriously people, it doesnt matter how strong you are, if you WEIGH less than the chopper, you can't pull it down without being tethered to a heavier object. Also, the guns had to be reloaded, but clothes were indestructible.

The third/prequel movie I have not seen and likely never will due to it having a major continuity problem evident even in the ads that can only be solved by yet more retcon. I dismissed it immediately.

The fourth one, I do not know. With the main characters now (triply) immortal, except to exceptionally violent death, I don't see the real conflict that can be set up for them, especially as the main enemies are all DEAD. But I have high hopes for this movie, because I still have hope that vampires could one day be halfway cool again. And I predict that guns will have to be reloaded, clothing will be destructible, but haircuts are never ever mussed

As long as it has Kate Beckinsale as Selene, I'm in. Otherwise scrap that!
This, definitely. Kate Beckinsale + leather = good film.
That's pretty much the only reason I watched the second flick, tbh.
I didn't mind the first movie, but the second was awful.

Didn't even bother with the third.

I guess Vamp's are the in thing again, tho. This is the 3rd "new" vampire movie that's due within the next 2 years and I'm sure with the success of Twilight, there will be several more...

WTB: truly horrific, scary vampires.

I wouldn't worry about physics when the plot includes werewolves and vampires. That said I do not understand why they locked a guy away forever. However they did keep a key just in case.... Why would you do that? Seriously, what? In case you left you watch in there or something?

PHYSICS!

But no seriously I can get over plenty of other violations of physics, but not this particular one. I think it's because of my second-earliest memory of movies: "It's not a question of where he grips it, it's a simple question of weight ratios"

Aww yeah... raised on Python and Peabody. Best childhood ever.
