The bar was getting more and more crowded with the soldier's ilk, most of them still in there ACU or Marine digital camo. They were not getting to rowdy, not with "good news" like this on the channels. Hell, if it was the infected attacking they might just leave and go kill some innocent under "just cause".

Well. . . that was until the helicopter hit the floor. Then the soldiers got pissed, they where yelling anti-mutant sentiments and started talking about grabbing there gear and killing some of the muties along with the G.I.C.

Kyle just finished his beer and looked around the room.

"What the hell?" mumbled Karen as she stared at a TV in a shop window, "their attacking a terrorist hideout?" she asked someone as they all began to chatter about it, the woman she asked nodded as she held her mouth in horror. Karen began to run to where she thought it was, she needed to know if it was a Hive hideout or someone elses.

Emily made her way downstairs to stop the soldiers advances towards the escaping infected. When she finally arrived she was met by eight soldiers, each of who held their guns firmly at her. Raising her hands up she smiled.

"Now, now", she said in a sarcastic voice," I'm sure that we can figure this all out in a non-violent way."

"Shut the hell up you freak!"

"I hate it when people call me a freak. Please, for your own safety... don't call me a freak again."

The soldier pointed his gun at her head and muttered the word again.

"Freak."

Emily opened her hands and forced them to her sides. A giant gust of wind blasted the soldiers onto the floor, and more then half of them fell through the windows and fell to their deaths. The soldiers who stood up were quickly met by a a sharp wind that easily sliced them in half. They fell to the floor in a matter of seconds. Blood and end trails littered the floor of the medical ward.

"I told you not to call me a freak, but you didn't listen.."

Looking outside the window Emily saw a group of news vans and reporters.

"Great..."

Ivory wandered through the streets, getting past the roadblocks with her false ID, then slipping into The Hive headquarters.

Sydney was making his way down the building when he looked out the window and saw several soldiers fall down to earth. He knocked out the window to see where they were all coming from. Soon half a soldier neatly sliced at the waist tumbled out from the window just one floor above him.

"Crap" Sydney thought to himself. He started to hurry his pace trying to ignore the pain of his slashed tendon

dave finished his beer and started walking back to the hive headquarters

James crafted another spike and hurled it at another GIC helicopter wizzing by, it hit its mark and crashed into an APC on the ground.

He askd for a sitrep on the evacuation "Sure most of the people have fled into the tunnel, glad you recommended creating that route in the basment"

"Thank me later" he said as he formed a third spike. This one went crashing into an APC on the ground. James started to feel tried

"Alright keep up the fire on those on the ground" he ordered

Karen felt tired after running about 5 blocks and decided if it was the Hive's HQ she'd find out on her way there.

Worn out she began to return to the headquarters, on the way she saw more APC's flying by in the opposite direction, "good," she mumbled, "means they've not found it," she sighed in relief as she continued to walk.

Emily ran down a flight of stairs until she came upon a man. She took a few seconds to remembered his name, but she finally remember that Delta had called him Sydney.

"You're hurt. Don't try and fight or you'll just end up dead."

Sydney looked over his shoulder. He stumbled over onto the ground and looked behind him.

"I wouldn't dream of it"

"Oh thank God. She doesn't know I caused this," he thought.

"Fuck there's more of them" James yelled

He had destroyed two more APCs with spikes, since he was not hurling them very far, he was not very tired. As he saw three more APCs appear, he used up the last of his brick supply and formed one more spike. His a grunt of exertion he hurled it at the lead APC. The spike crashed through the drivers windew and the APC fliped. The secound APC slamed into the lead one and the third one vered off to the side to avoid hiiting the mess. The driver stearred it too far and slamed into a building.

"Sir the evacuation is almost complete" said one of the people on the roof

"Good, lets start to fall back into the tunnels also, eveyone off the roof" he ordered Soon everyone was rushing down the stairs towards the basement.

Then anothe helicoptor appeared, this time it was a gunship. Its deadly payload pointed at the fleeing roof group.

"Ohh no" James though Panicking he touched the floor of the roof, desperite to make a spike. He formed enough materials to make a small spike., He flung it at the helicopter, but it blew eratically and hit the tail rotor.

The Helicopter spun out of control, the piolt struggled at the controls, but then chopper continued to spin untill it slamed full force into the building across the street

James ran down the stairs towards the basment.

Emily completely ignored the man, as she didn't think of him as much of a threat, considering the state he was in. She passed him and continued down the stairs and towards the basement. There she would make her escape along with the other infected.

Lets hope that everyone gets out ok.

Sydney sighed in relief as the mutant took mercy and passed him by. He kept crawling his way towards the bottom floor slowly reaching the exit. When he made his way out he ordered one of the A.P.C. transports that stayed intact to take him back.

James reached the basment and saw the last of the infected enter the escape tunnel, he ordered Emily to go ahead of him while he made sure that no GIC followed them into the tunnels.

He jumped doen into the tunnel and touched the walls. Concrete shifted around and soon the hole to the surface was closed off. James sprinted down the tunnel, he had to reach the emergency evacuation point

Brandon helped the last of the injured infected down the ladder. James soon closed the entrance and Brandon followed. "Well sounds like you were having fun up there?" Brandon said sarcastically.

Karen finally reached the HQ and slipped in under the watchful eyes of the outlooks. She nodded to the 'doorman' as he was called before going into the proper quarters to relax.

Emily was in front of all the infected. She was leading them in the tunnels, making sure that they didn't get lost underground.

Another medical facility ruined thanks to the GIC.

Looking back she noticed that many of the infected were still injured.

Where the hell are we going to take them now?

James shot Brandon a dirty look

"I was just making sure they wouldn't follow us" he said, and anyways once we get to the evac point, we're gonna have a hell of a time transporting these people somewhere"

James paused for a secound "How did they find us anyway?"

Ivory wandered around the headquarters, heading to the pool to relax. Freezing a small portion of the pool, she leaned back on the ice, floating on the pool on her impromptu raft.

"Hey easy I was just joking. I don't know how they found us. Maybe they tracked one of the hurt ones?" Brandon said shrugging his shoulders.
