If you have to ask, you're in the wrong place.

So, a while back, I was cruising through a "favorite concert" thread and noticed that there are a TON of Maiden fans on here. I want to make a thread dedicated to everyones favorite group of Albatross Salesmen.

What's your top album? Have you seen them? When? Where? Got a favorite memory? What do you think of the Final Frontier? Just need to say how much you love Maiden? This is the place. And always, up the Irons!

Maiden fans... they're everywhere. not to say I'm not one of them, I love Maiden and I have since I was a child.

I saw them live at Ottawa Bluesfest 2010 in July, they were great. They played all sorts of stuff from different albums as well as a couple from Final Frontier, only problem was that it was about 40 degrees outside and we waited in line all day in the sun. Water was running short on the grounds, and jumping around in a crowd of metalheads makes you tired. Nonetheless it was a great show and I loved it.

My favorite albums are probably Brave New World, Iron Maiden, and A Matter of Life and Death. I love them all though. As for Final Frontier, I quite like it. I think it was a little bit different than some of their previous stuff but not enough that it was not a Maiden album. When the Wild Winds Blow is one of my favorites off that album.

Fear of the Dark is one of my favorites, with A Matter of Life and Death following closely after. I've got Final Frontier, but I still haven't listened to it (haven't gotten around to it). My friend says it's okay, but we like different stuff from Iron Maiden so I've got to try it out myself.

Saw them in '08 and '10, in Vancouver Canada. My favorite memory (other than the whole concerts!) was seeing a father with his five year old son at the '08 show...I think that kid's gonna grow up right.

Saw them last July. It was absolutely incredible. Powerslave would be my favourite, very closely followed by A Matter Of Life And Death.

Plus, they're just...MAIDEN. It's hard to see them as anything less than the greatest metal band of all time. Final Frontier was occasionally lacking in hooks but was utterly fantastic, too.

^My costume this past Halloween.

I really liked the Final Frontier. It was different, but it still had that epic Maiden feel. It was big. and that's something they've always done really well.

You're going to love them. If you've ever liked any of their music, then you'll more than likely love the show. Bruce does a great job of keeping the crowd engaged, plus they're going to be at home, so that should be awesome.

My favorite album by them has to be Somewhere In Time.

Firstly because I can play Wasted Years and Loneliness of The Long Distance Runner on the bass guitar and secondly, because it's a fucking great album.

It's a tie between Powerslave and Number of the Beast for me.

Still haven't heard Final frontier yet, but I've got some gift cards I haven't yet spent so maybe it's time to sue them :p

UP THE IRONS! \m/

I'm not sure which album is my favorite, but it could very well be Fear Of The Dark.

Aye lad, up the Irons. I think the first few songs of the Final Frontier were excellent, if a bit more tame than the old Maiden style, but after that it got a bit bland. Still, can't beat the classics! Bruce Dickinson is probably the greatest singer I know. Certainly in the top five, anyway.

The whole thing cost about $100 USD. So it's a pretty cheap costume and it got more than one compliment.

And yes, Bruce is one of the greats. His tonal and pitch control are very nearly unmatched and his range is incredible.

Fulfilled a lifelong dream last summer and some them at Sonisphere. Awesome. I do love The Final Frontier, but it's a little too proggy for me at times. My favourite Maiden album is probably Iron Maiden, which even the band themselves don't seem too keen on. However, it is the only Iron Maiden album that I adore every single track on.

I've taken a dump while they were playing live about 100 yards away. Seen them 3 or 4 times. I'm not the biggest fan of their music (sure I can appreciate the classics but that's about it) and honestly their show gets boring really really fast. But I'm probably just a spoiled little brat.

What's your top album?: Fear of the Dark or The Final Frontier

Have you seen them?: Sadly, no.

What do you think of the Final Frontier?: Honestly, there best album musically. It was all there and I hope this is their last album so they go out with the biggest bang I have ever seen.
