Iron Maiden... Iron Maiden...

you know, I've never heard a song by them I can say I remember was by them (though thats alot of bands) but I own six T-shirts with their logos or album covers on them.

Of course... I got those for next to nothing when I went to a Salvation Army store...

Overall, their shirts keep me warm, and thats about the extent of what Iron Maiden has done for me on a personal level.

They're pretty good, but I really don't like the elitist fans that insist that they're the only "real" music there is.

If you have to ask, you're in the wrong place.

So, a while back, I was cruising through a "favorite concert" thread and noticed that there are a TON of Maiden fans on here. I want to make a thread dedicated to everyones favorite group of Albatross Salesmen.

What's your top album? Have you seen them? When? Where? Got a favorite memory? What do you think of the Final Frontier? Just need to say how much you love Maiden? This is the place. And always, up the Irons!
I haven't listened to The Final Frontier enough times, right now the only song that caught on to me right away was The Alchemist.

Actually, I've only been to one concert so far...and it was Iron Maiden back in October 2006 :D.

My favorite album is The Number of the Beast, almost every song is a fucking masterpiece. The only song that doesn't endear to me is Total Eclipse. But everything else...The Prisoner...INVADEEERS! Gangland, etc. is fucking incredible.

Also I have 4 Maiden shirts: The Number of the Beast, Somewhere In Time, A Matter of Life and Death (2006 Tour), and The Final Frontier (but with just cyber Eddie in the front).

They rock. The very first band I was ever into. Would never have picked up a guitar if it wasn't for Adrian Smith. Fave album....probably Peace of mind. Stoped listening to them after Fear of the Dark. Bought A Brave new world becouse Aidrian and Bruce came back. Find myself listening to the Final Frontier a lot though. Think there are four awsome tunes with some cheeky and breathtaking guitar work. The rest is not very impressive but still enjoyable. Seen them live a fair few times. Donington 88 was the best though.

I can't be the only one thinking that this was a West Ham United supporters forum can I?
Nope, I was coming here in expectation of the same thing, and kinda hoping to read some amusing comments about their current form, or lack thereof :)

OT: My attitude towards Iron Maiden has always been... meh. They're good, I can see that, but they dont have anything that draws me to them. I do really like the song Dance of the Dead, but as for the rest of it, I'll take it or leave it.

I was on concert in Bergen whit them this summer and loved it. Only downside was that the warm-up-band was supposed to be Heaven and Hell, but since Dio died we got someone else.
My favorite album got to be Powerslave or A matter of life Death. Got every studio album, exept The X Factor. I liked The Final Frontier even I think it was one of their weaker albums, but on the other side it is still a really god album.

My favourite Maiden album is probably Iron Maiden, which even the band themselves don't seem too keen on. However, it is the only Iron Maiden album that I adore every single track on.
You know, I really like A Matter of Life and Death, even though a lot of people I'll talk to say it's one of their weakest albums. But that's the best thing about opinions, no matter what anyone else thinks, Iron Maiden still kicks ass.

That was actually where I picked up my first and only Maiden tee. Gotta love the Salvation Army.

Getting those two back was probably one of the happiest things I've ever known to happen to a band, aside from Nirvana dissolving. Adrian's guitar work is nothing short of spectacular. A song that it just "meh" from him is still way better than most of what any other band is churning out these days.

Yeah, I like the work they do for the underprevilleged. besides, its an awesome way to get cool stuff at a low price you only see at places like Goodwill. I found so much good stuff I still enjoy shopping at the Sarmy.

UP. THE. IRONS.

Favourite album and artwork? See my avatar. Though for me, the "big 5" are AMOLAD, Powerslave, Brave New World, The Number of the Beast and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. I liked The Final Frontier, but by their standards it was nothing special - my claim to fame is being the only Maiden fan in the world who doesn't like When the Wild Wind Blows.

I've never been to see them as of yet, but I will do in July. I am excite.

Favorite album is Powerslave, by far, and my favorite song is Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner. It's 15 minutes of awesome. Unfortunately, haven't seen them live, but I have watched a cover band, if that counts.

I only own the one album so I'll run with that one. My favourite is Number of the Beast.

I saw them live at Sonisphere 2010 :) They played a huge range of stuff and fought Eddie on stage ;D
