P3P fixed the combat for P3, so I see your point.D0WNT0WN said:Im hoping for Persona 4 for the PSP, I didnt finish the console version of Persona 3 so P3P was a godsend. I already have the site bookmarked, and commented about it on the Forums and Facebook. Yes, I'm quite excited. Please be P4P or P5. Please.hazabaza1 said:Where's RedEyesBlackGamer?
He'll love this.
Speaking of Persona, I need to finish off 3 some time.
I got up to the Sangiri dude and I had Naoto, Kanji and Teddie in my party and I was quite under leveled. In P3P I could grind in the dungeon for longer because I could pop my PSP into sleep mode when I got bored. I played P3P lots because it was on the PSP and I could just pick and play for a few minuted instead of sitting down for a few hours on my PS2 and getting bored.mireko said:P3P fixed the combat for P3, so I see your point.D0WNT0WN said:Im hoping for Persona 4 for the PSP, I didnt finish the console version of Persona 3 so P3P was a godsend. If this does turn out to be a handheld port like P3P, I wonder if it'll have a female protagonist. Hashino did joke that we've already seen the "female protagonist". Of course, it was a joke, but does that affect the chances of there really being one?
Anyway, you need to finish P4. Best ED ever. And because I'm curious, do you mean the final boss or the final boss?
Or the FINAL BOSS?
Funny thing is that I still can't tell if your talking about Kunino-Sagiri, or Ameno-Sagiri. Kunino is the bad ending final boss whereas Ameno is the "final" boss. BUT there was a boss after Ameno as well if you do the right choices after you beat the game. So you actually had about 4-7 hours worth of gameplay after that. If you though Kunino was hard the True Ending final boss will kick your ass into oblivion!D0WNT0WN said:I got up to the Sangiri dude and I had Naoto, Kanji and Teddie in my party and I was quite under leveled. P3P had some expanded social links (I think, it might just be more character portraits) and the option to play as a female protagonist (which changes a lot of the social links).DJDarque said:I'm kinda new to the whole Persona series. I just picked up Persona 3 FES like a week ago for dirt cheap to give it a shot. I'm liking it so far. Was P3P superior in some way to FES though? Either way, I hope this is a PSP port just to give me a reason to dust that thing off and use it again.

Hm. The ability to play as a different protagonist may be fun after I've played through once. Also, while I would prefer the combat style in P3P, I haven't found the regular style to be that bad so far. It sounds like something I might pick up later, but I'm happy with FES at this point. Plus the cutscene change sounds like a major downgrade.mireko said:P3P had some expanded social links (I think, it might just be more character portraits) and the option to play as a female protagonist (which changes a lot of the social links).DJDarque said:I'm kinda new to the whole Persona series. It also had P4-style combat, in that you can assign all your teammates to "direct command" and control them like in a normal RPG.
That does not mean it has all the features of FES and more, however. The Answer (extra chapter after the end of the main story) isn't included, the cutscenes are cut (specifically, everything in the cutscenes is redone in the same format as all the in-game conversations) and you don't navigate in the same way (there's a layout, you hover things, I don't really feel like explaining it).
You'll be happy with either version, but playing as the female protagonist is pretty interesting, and the combat is made somewhat easier (although there are additional difficulty settings).
The cutscenes are missed, yeah. They don't have all that great animation, but they're very well-directed and edited.DJDarque said:Hm. Thank you for the info.
