As if the new pokemon weren't already shit enough. Generation 2 onwards the designes really started to go downhill.
Generation 1 had the least creative Pokemon.

Or do you really believe that sticking three Pokemon together is an 'evolution'?
I'll always be partial to generation 3 Pokemon - I think it achieved a nice balance between designs that come straight from real animals and the much more cartoony/absurd style which it is now leaning towards.

What's with the Pokemon at the end of the video that was #000 in the Pokedex?
I think they judt did that for the sake of the trailer. I suppose they don't want to much info to be released.
the Pokemon is called viciti or summit like that, it's a legendary and can be only aquired in an event like mew or celebi

its on Serebii =)

It's Victini, basically this generation's Mew/Celebi/Jirachi/Manaphy

Update: Reader Simulacrum has been nice enough to fill us in on what they're talking about in the first part of the trailer - as expected, they're all multiplayer features.
Oi! You got the wrong user there mister! XD

honestly I don't really like the pseudo 3d graphics, I think that either they should stay with what they had last time, which seemed less pronounced than this, or go full 3d graphics, which I would be fine with, they could just have the characters be a little more harvest moon-y

They're really running out of ideas for Pokemon, aren't they?

And I can't help but feel sorry for those Pokemon that had to dress up like idiots for our own amusement. Sad, yet hilarious. Dance puppets, dance for your master!

They had something like that in the last one, only it was stickers instead of outfits. But this is freaking hilarious.

I can also see from the trailer that the characters a disproportionately large heads and small bodies. Players can choose between a girl and a boy caricature. Both are wearing hats of some kind, and are wearing at least one item of clothing that is some shade of red. The starting pokemon are grass, water, and fire types. There is also a gray rodent-thing shown, and this is probably a pokemon players will run into often. It will be easy to catch and totally worthless.

Wow. That sounds a lot like the other games. Although, those graphics look nice, for the DS.

amazingly, I had came to the site to see if they had heard of the trailer yet, and BOOM here it is, though to be honest the fact that they had shown LUVDISC's evolution first instead of say, a new Eeveelution isn't a good sign
it is probably getting hard to keep making Eeceelutions (but they are probably going to anyway), i think Dragion (dragon eevee) and bugion (bug eevee) would be pretty annoying to animate.

Now, Ive been an avid fan since Red/Blue, but really...

Like, 4 people use the contest features. And they have no bearing over any part of the game: you dont get exclusive items or Pokemon for doing them. DROP THE FEATURE.

Im going to buy this game without a doubt, but it seems like they're just making some really pointless features. They could do so much more with Co-Op if they impliment it right, and they could do so much more with the franchise.

Generation 1 to 2 was a massive leap, (Genders, Shinys, Breeding, Pokegear, Color, etc.) 2 to 3 was a massive leap (Abilities, IV differentials, mechanic changes) and (you guessed it), 3 to 4 was a massive leap (Metagame Mechanics and general gameplay was tweaked to improve balance). Why does it seem this time around that 4 to 5 is just taking baby steps? I mean, transition to 3D environments (compared to the 2.5D) is kinda a big step, and Triple Battles are interesting... But it honestly just feels forced this time around. =\

OK, my favourite bit was the bit at the end where you appeared to be able to fire a bow for some reason. I couldn't work out whether it was used to shoot at Pokemon or used to shoot Pokemon at other things, but I'm down with either of those possibilities. I am considerably less enthusiastic about the ability to make my Pokemon look even more ridiculous than they already do, though.
That's how you transfer pokemon from 4th gen games into Black and White. You shoot something at the pokemon, probably balls.

in defence of lovedisc, nosepass is CLEARLY the dumbest looking pokemon i have ever seen. also why stop at having your pokemon wear funny costumes in musicals? i want to send my pokemon into battle in orange afro wigs and grass skirts. that outta confuse the hell out of my opponents. still, i think its funny that nintendo continues to find new, exciting ways to let you humiliate pokemon even further.
